According to the book flap inside the front cover: "This fully-illustrated guide to the theory and practice of the Alexander Technique shows how improved posture and breathing patterns can bring relief from pain and stress."

It's a short book at 64-pages, however it packs in a lot of information mostly through color photographs that illustrate how to move and complete tasks in ways that put less stress on our bodies. The photos clearly demonstrate the difference applying Alexander Technique makes.

Posture and alignment are important. This book will show you how "to move gracefully and effortlessly, without strain." Topics covered include: squatting, walking, lifting, carrying, reading & writing, desk work, use of the telephone, working at a computer, driving, and drinking and eating.
