A great book for new readers that are ready to move on from the basic picture books with few words. Each page contains a few sentences, and even some dialogue being shown between some of the characters. This book is not only great for a transition book for new readers, but it also showcases some characteristics of a hard working young man and his family. I enjoyed the illustrations in this book. There are only pictures on one side of the page and the other side is white with black lettering, which is part of the transition between picture books and chapter books. I would recommend this book to a student in 1st or 2nd grade.

Very simple, leveled book introducing a farmer's market. Wished it had shown a little more of the farm life leading up to the market.
