This book gives a closer look into the mexican culture in bordering Texas states. Each of the stoies were good and held some insight into the older mexican culture. The only thing I wish, especially with some of the stories is that they went further into depth. The book made me look at my own culture differently just because I understand my culture from an American stand point, which is what the narrator was also experiencing. Good book over all though.
