As far as epistemology goes, this was a great book. The book covered many of the big debates in the field.

i like the idea of presenting a subject matter in terms of pro and con arguments for a series of views, and the subjects considered are unified enough to force the reader to consider each in the context of the others. the debates are now contemporary only to the last generation of philosophy teachers, but that isn't a bad thing. the trouble is that this book contains epistemology
