I am pleased to say that most of the info (though not all) in this book was review for me. It was a really good book though. The basic concepts of personal finance are explained clearly and what a person actually needs to do about them is listed in the back as an action list. The conversation structure of the book makes it quick to read and helps keep it based in reality. I think every kid who leaves high school (graduating or not) should be given a copy of this book so they can avoid financial mistakes and make good choices early in their lives.

I know a little something about money. This book clarified my understanding and taught me a few things. Written in a unique style, it gets a little tiresome. However the author is rarely confusing and always defines his terms. I recommend it if you want the big picture perspective on personal finances. Unless you are self-employed. He wrote for people with jobs.

I've long thought that when people turn 18 [or earlier] they should get a guide to how to live life. This book addresses the strategies for making education economic decisions as well as American government requirements (taxes) and how to make the most of your money. In essence, it's probably the closest thing to the guide to life I previously wished for. Definitely worth reading.
