I'm steamrolling through the 1,001 books to read before I grow up, and this is #2, chronologically. The stories were interesting and whimsical, and were filled with way-out-there non-sequitur details (he was walking down the street, and then he could fly, and he found a gem the size of the earth, and there was a dragon, and pretty much everyone is Harry Potter...), but most interesting of all is what ensued: complete ripoff by English speaking storytellers, who I don't think have gotten proper attribution. Anonymous must be upset.
