Adding to Falcon’s challenges is a request from his New York-based sister and brother to search for a young woman who’s apparently in Phoenix.
This historical western gives a great glimpse into the challenges of travelling across the country and from city to city in the latter half of the nineteenth century. It also speaks to the ongoing pursuit of gold that permeated the west and the mentality of people who simply took what they wanted.
The good guys and bad guys are clearly set out here, with little room for grey areas, so character development is quite simplistic. What is most satisfying about this book is that justice prevails. Slaughter of Eagles is #15 in what is no doubt a popular series among fans of this genre.
From New York, New York to Phoenix Arizona and stops in between Falcon Mccaulister rides herd on every evil doer that comes along. I love these books and I won’t be happy until I read every one that I can get my hands on.
Another good Falcon adventure. Exciting but quite as others. Falcon will eventually discover all these beautiful women too hard to resist and hang up his spurs.
