Barbara Turnbull became paralysed from the neck down when she was shot working in a convenience store in Mississauga when she was 18. Although this book was written in 1997 it gives us her thoughts on her injury and the cowards who did this to her as well as the direction her life now takes. She is a reporter for the Toronto Star.
The book seemed like a fundraiser to me. I feel sad for the author and hope somehow there will be a follow up book with some good news about Ms. Turnbull.
