I found this one really hard going. Maybe because I was travelling at the time I was reading it and it seemed very long and much the same every time I picked it up. I still have the next book to read, but will put it off for awhile.

Like Miss Read, Maria Coffey has an excellent grasp of all things growing in the countryside. Her descriptions are beautiful. I loved reading about the characters she and her vet husband met in Ireland.
