Abbastanza deludente.

Another novella within the Open Doors Series and another new author discovered. I read this one fairly quickly as I could relate to the relationship between father and son and I also though of my late father whilst reading this book.
Well written, sad in parts as well as funny. A great little addition to the ODS

This is a very short Irish Novella. Personally, I love Irish stories. I love the language and cadence. In particular, I love the Irish way of being. I am very familiar with the setting of Dun Laoghaire, Glasthule and Bray.
This novella is a touching story of a man and his father.

Sad but sweet.

So sad but I like reading about places I have been and know.

A heart-rending short story about a very special father and son relationship. I personally found it both well-written and well-constructed, though I got the impression it tried too much to sound "pathetic" at times. Anyway, it hit me on some sort of personal level as it reminded me of my Erasmus year in Ireland, making me re-discover some old friends like Dun Laoghaire, which I'll always keep in my heart.

Delicato e essenziale.

A beautiful little story which is witty and sad and depicts an almost typical Irish childhood. Given this is a little book, it can be enjoyed immensely in one sitting. Recommended.

Corto ma toccante.
