Family Secrets
Hi. I'm Rachel. I'm fifteen.
When we moved house (Dad's idea), I was so dreading starting my new school. Turns out, that was the least of my worries. Within weeks I'
1. Fallen out with my new best friend.
2. Found out I was adopted and
3. Figured out my parents were keeping something from me. (Apart from me being adopted, that is.)
Turns out my whole life was a lie and I'd got to figure out the truth. I was like, a total wreck! The only good thing was Luke.
This is the first book in a trilogy about me. My life was so ordinary until I found out I was adopted. Then everything totally changed!
The second book, 'Family Fear' came out December 2010. Just when I thought everything was settling back down again things got really scary. Gran missing, police at the door, a weirdo woman following me and my life in danger!
The third book, 'Family Missing' came out June 2012. Coming back to Rotherham Emma, the bully awaited me but she was nothing compared to the horrors I was about to face. My sister Rebecca was kidnapped and when I tried to help the police find her I landed in a whole lot of trouble. The question is who will get out alive?

Teen fiction, read equally by adults. Fifteen-year-old Rachel finds out she was abandoned at birth and adopted and for some reason her adoptive parents have kept this a secrets from her. Rachel determines to find out the truth and is amazed at what she discovers...

'Family Secrets' is my first book. 'Family Fear' follows it and 'Family Missing' the final part of the trilogy is due out April/May 2012.

Very nicely written young adult book about a young girl, who finds out, from a bully, her families secret. She finds out who her real friends are and how they, her family and strangers react. She learns about herself and her reactions. A great book for young girls dealing with bullies. I received this book free through the ARR Program.
