Thoroughly tested and carefully designed instructions make it possible for anyone to achieve results on the first try.
Coincided with my son's paper airplane phase and a movie of a similar name. This fed his interest and hundreds of airplanes were iterated in an effort to perfect the craft :)
745.59 Boursin.I'm not sure kids, without prior origami practice, are capable of following the fairly elaborate and somewhat complicated "how to" instructions in this book, but they all check it out and (I assume) try. I have Origami Critters by the same publisher and author, and I can't keep either on the shelf. The origami vocabulary, symbols and folds are clearly written. The book is colorful and appealing. I would buy more.
