Matt wasn’t expecting to find the love of his life at the age of sixteen. But when he’s forced to either find a tutor before his grades continue to tank or spend the rest of the hockey season on the bench, he doesn’t hesitate to take option number one. The moment he saw Morgan, the girl with twinkling blue eyes and a love for English Lit, it was a no-brainer that she was meant to be his.
Despite the curveballs life continued to throw at them, they’ve been glued at the hip since that first meeting. Now, six years later, they’re at a place they couldn’t have imagined back in that high school library.
They’ve done everything from babies, to weddings, and unexpected moves across the world. But what about what comes next? Are they ready for it?

Finished this novella in about 15 mins. You will have no clue who Matt and Morgan are if you haven't read the first few books in this series, so definitely read Lucky Hit and Blissful Hook first.
Matt and Morgan's daughter, Avery, will be the heroine in the author's upcoming release, His Greatest Treasure. The hero, Oliver, is the son of the couple from Blissful Hook. I'm very excited for that release!
It was good getting a little novella about Matt and Morgan. I did read book 3 before this book so i did wonder what they got up to previously. I loved seeing them get together. I do wish it was longer though
Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Spice: None Relationship: MW Tropes/content: Sports romance (hockey), high school sweethearts, tutor/tutee Series: Swift Hat-Trick Trilogy #2.5

Matt is the star goalie of his high school hockey team, however, that won't be the case for long if he can't get his English grade up. His coach gives him the names of some tutors who can help him, which is how he meets Morgan, who agrees to tutor him. Their relationship started out as a tutor and tutee, but it evolves the more they spend time together. Soon Morgan and Matt are making a pact for forever.
I loved Morgan and Matt in Lucky Hit, so I was happy that we were going to get more of their story. This novella is super short, but I liked it a lot. The scene after Matt took his exam made swoon. I do wish this was a little bit longer because I wanted more with them, but it felt good to have some closure with this couple.
Yes, yes, yes! I was waiting for a story about Matt and Morgan! I wish that Overtime was a full book, but the novella was wonderful!
I loved how Matt met Morgan; with the need of a tutor for school. Their banter was so sweet and I simply loved the introduction of Ava, Morgan’s best friend.
The fast-forward gave a taste of how in love both of these two are with one another. It also gave a quick breakdown of the other characters from their previous books and what was going on with them.
I gave a high rating because although short, it was perfect. Morgan and Matt definitely need their own book featuring their daughter.
Absolutely LOVED Matt and Morgan’s story. I loved getting to see how their relationship started after the glimpses we’ve gotten of them in the other books in this series.
Matt and Morgan have such a gentle and easy love that I couldn’t help but giggle and kick my feet throughout this whole book. The found family aspect of this series is everything. I love that we got to see Matt and Mo’s wedding with the entire crew there (Oakley, Ava, Tyler, Gracie, and Adam). 🥹
An athlete x tutor romance will do it for me EVERY TIME.
This is available free through the author’s website. It’s a YA novella of Matt and Morgan’s journey towards life together, told in little snippets at various points along the way. This very easily could have been a full length novel and I would have devoured it, because it was the sweetest sort of story. From chance connection over yoghurt as teens, to endless study session, to college and choosing their first apartment together, it was just them growing towards each other through all stages of life. Zero conflict, brimming with love, and just so many sweet slices of their life.
The best! Love their relationship, how they started. Such a beautiful quick read. Matt needed a tutor in order to pass his English class and keep playing hockey. He had no idea the nerdy girl that was his tutor would become his best friend and the love of his life. Totally recommend this quick novella. I’m just in over with this whole series! These quick insta love stories are my fave
This was a quick novella about Matt and Morgan’s beginning’s. This should be read after the Swift Hat-Trick trilogy and they are the parents of Avery who appears in His Greatest Treasure, book four of the Greatest alive series so this novella is perfect to be read before you get to the book. Otherwise it was super quick and shows us how they met and everything in between that lead them to living in Sweden before the birth of their daughter.
A nice quick novella that had me smiling the whole time. These two are so damn cute! I loved learning about their first meeting, it gave me a bit of Haley and Nathan from One Tree Hill vibes which I loved and i’m here for it.
I know this was only 40 pages but I wanted more 😭 Would’ve loved to see their tutoring sessions in depth but I know this wasn’t supposed to be a full book so I understand it had to be cut short. Wouldn’t of been opposed to having a full length novel 🥹
This was a great quite read! My only complaint was that it was too short! I would have loved an entire book on Matt and Morgan. It was also great to read what happened to them since I felt like we hadn't heard from them after book 2.
I like that their love was easy. A lot of stories have the enemies to lovers trope, but these two just liked each other and it was cute.
Matt & Morgan Hockey romance High School Sweethearts Tutor
Okay I love this! I'm so glad we get to see how Matt and Morgan ended up together, because all we see in the rest of the series is that they are already together!
I do wish this one was a little bit longer because I love these two, and I feel like they have so much more they could tell us!!
A verrrrry quick (15 mins) novella about Matt and Morgan. Morgan is Ava’s best friend (book 1 of Hat-Trick series) and follows their love story. I don’t really remember them from any of the books? Best read between book 2 and 3 (this is #2.5)
Loved Matt & Morgans story which showed how they met along with what happened to them. I loved seeing them at the beginning after wondering what had happened to them and this fit in with the Hat Trick series so well. Loved seeing how he completely fell for her and never let her go, it was perfect.
I wish this was longer! I love them so much and even though I got to know them a lot through the previous books in the series I still craved more. Either way I’m still happy we had this for some closure at least ☺️
