Dare has been proud to be a member of the Pagan Souls MC in Cherokee for close to two decades. He has good friends he calls brothers and a life that brings him a lot of happiness. It’s brotherhood that has him and a few of his Cherokee brothers answering the call for assistance from another chapter of Pagans. He has no idea that by doing so, he’s about to step into a whole different and new path in his life.
Joli is thrilled to be working a job she sees so much potential in and living close to the one family member she’s proud to claim, her cousin, Chaos. He’s a member of the Pagan Souls in Lake Oconee. However, after a short time there, trouble finds her and the Pagans call in their other chapter to help them resolve it.
The first meeting between Dare and Joli ends in a totally shocking moment. Words are said, and a chance is taken. Fast forward to Joli spending time in Cherokee. She’s deciding whether she’ll take Dare up on his offer or not. While she does, her life is still on hold because of the trouble that found her in Lake Oconee.
A run-in with an old acquaintance of the club makes Joli think long and hard about her future. As the story about this acquaintance unfolds more, changes are made. Only when those are expressed to the one in question, there are repercussions that may end up costing Dare his woman. Only time and a grand gesture will determine if this biker ends up having a happily ever after with Dare’s Doll.
An avid reader with a passion for romances that finally got the chance to write one of her own. The rest is history. Not what anyone thought for someone who has been a nurse and in healthcare management for years.
I sit writing as my two fur babies, my pugs Kujo and Khaos, impatiently wait for me to get done so they can lay on me as their human sofa!
My children are finally considered to be adults, so it's me, the hubby and the dogs.
I'm a iced tea drinking fiend who has insomnia, more ideas than I know what to do with, and a need to write them down.
Not too bad for a girl from rural Ohio in the foothills of Appalachia that grew up in a town of about 4000 people.
This one went like most of the other connected MC books from this author. There were a couple of surprises, one being a club bunny who used the power she had in horrible ways. I was stunned the guys didn't do anything about what she was holding over the club, but instead took all the crap she gave them. I was glad when Dare finally called her bluff and united the club took action against her, action that should have been taken a long time ago. The second thing that surprised me was the person that was after Joli. Really didn't see who the bad guy was coming at all! That one really hurt. Glad to see that this one ended on a good note and everyone was happy.
Boring! Sex, sex and more sex. Danger doesn’t happen and they’re both like kidls.
Wow that has to be the worst one I’ve read, from this author. There’s literally no story apart from them arguing and her stomping off, or they’re having sex! The sex scenes are gross. If he said one more time about her and what she smelt like, I was going to vomit!
So the plot. What little there is. Dare meets Jolie when she is being stalked, and Wrath’s club need needs help watching her. Of course it’s instalove and instant sex. With her having endless orgasms and him having more staying power than rechargeable batteries. The stalker is really obvious who it is from the beginning, and the danger is over before anything happens. Then there’s the arguments. Where Jolie stomps off and tries to or does leave their Mc. They have so many stupid misunderstandings that if they just talked to each other it would be fine. They’re like a pair of kids. So immature.
I have read this book before. Actually not that long ago. It was within the last 3 months I'm almost positive. Seeing as I could not get this edit to register along side the other edition to combine I took the time too read again. Just in case the author changed something in the story. Nope, it seems the same but I could have read anywhere from 20 to 200 books since I last read. But I did enjoy the he'll out of it. After all, I love it when my people get a starring role!!! Cherokee People, Cherokee Pride, Cherokee Peace Cherokee Nation!!!
Okay, let me start here with this review.. I loved the characters and pretty much the storyline (kinda getting repetitive BTW Ciara)but it fell short due to some inconsistency from the pervious book and other characters.. (you gotta take notes authors) anyway I still plan to read book 3 just to keep the story going.
Ciara St. James does a remarkable job with this suspenseful biker romance entitled Dare’s Doll. It is the second installment in her Pagan Souls of Cherokee MC series. In it she chronicles the romantic journe of Joli and Dare. She is the younger cousin of Chaos, a Pagan Souls MC member of the Lake Oconee club. That club is a sister club to the Pagan Souls of Cherokee club, wherein Dare is their VP. Destiny brings them together when the Lake Oconee club reaches out fot assistance in identifying Joli’s stalker and assistance in enhancing all efforts to keep her safe. When Joli and Dare see each other for the first time there is an instant and powerful connection. It does not take long for Joli and Dare to be in a relationship. Despite all efforts her stalker remains unidentifiable. Will Dare and his MC brothers find out her stalker’s identity? Can they keep her safe? What happens when these two strong and independent people fall in love? Will their romantic journey be smooth or bumpy? To find out, you must read this book.
Once again, Ms. James penned another delightful romance with strong multi-layered lead characters. Her lead characters are strong, determined, confident yet vulnerable. I enjoyed their growth as the story progressed. She enhances the plot movement through the interactions of supporting characters. I liked the strong dialog. I appreciated the dual point of view to tell their back stories. Ms. James use of descriptive language paints vivid scenes. The scenes wherein Joli is kidnapped by her stalker definitely ramps up the tension in her plot. Her use of a dual-prong plot garners her readers attention. One prong builds suspense as it focuses on the stalker, his identity and capture. The other prong focuses on the romantic relationship between Dare and Joli. Overall, it is through her mastery of these literary devices that allows readers to be captivated. Nicely done, Ms. James.
Whew! These Pagan Souls are some sexy men that make me want to read so much more. Dare’ Doll is just as steamy, sexy, awesome as Agony’s was. I love the fun, sexy, dangerous men that are the Pagan Souls MC, and the sassy, sexy, strong women they find as their soul mates. They may joke around and have fun, but make no mistake, if someone they care about is in trouble, they can become the dangerous men that they are and show now mercy.
When their sister chapter in Lake Oconee calls and asks for help, Dare is one of the men to go lend a hand. Dare being the VP of the Cherokee chapter, he heads to Lake Oconee with a few others to see what they need help with. When he meets the one that they are trying to protect, Joli, the cousin to one of the members, he finds that his temptation is being tested. One comment by her cousin Chaos, and Dare stakes his claim, but things are going to get rough before they can find their happily ever after.
I love Ciara St. James’ books and her characters. She writes, funny, sexy, dark, dangerous, protective men, and sassy, sexy, strong, independent women that bring them to their knees. Dare’s Doll is no exception to that. Joli is a strong woman that is not afraid to stand her ground, but when she is threatened and no one knows who is behind it, the two clubs work together to keep her safe and protected, however, the danger is closer than they ever expected. I loved this book and give it a 5-star review.
I've read a lot of these books, some plots are more interesting then others and while I would never call them "good" books I am willing to say they are often entertaining if one can look past the blatant misogyny of the men and the author feeling the need to shove her right wing ideals into her smutty biker books (ie; having basically every single book say abortion is murder to the point of having a nurse practitioner in one book call the day after pill murder). She's entitled to her views it's just a weird thing to include in smut books with every third chapter having graphic sex scenes and like actual murder. What I could not get past in this one to actually enjoy it was that the main girl JUST graduated with her bachelors in architecture and she's complaining about being an assistant and not getting to design and be an architect at the firm. First, YOU HAVE TO BE LICENSED TO BE AN ARCHITECT, ya know so you don't kill people by designing unsound structures. The minimum for licensure in most states is at least a bachelors degree plus 100s of hours of grunt work and recommendations from multiple architects. And in some places you also need your masters. Plus each state has different requirements so she would need to apply again when she moved. I know it's dumb thing to get picky about but it would have literally taken thirty seconds of research.
The Pagan Souls are quickly becoming my favorite MC from Ciara. There is just something about these guys that just speak to me. Dare is a typical biker, no interest in settling down. That is until he gets called to another chapter about a problem. The problem is some jerk is stalking a member's cousin, Joli. When Dare meets her, his entire world becomes this feisty, fiery woman. She isn't interested in being claimed but there is something about Dare that convinces her to give him a chance. It becomes whirlwind from that moment, the investigation into her stalker and getting to know the biker that wants to steal her heart. Absolutely delightful, I had so much fun with this couple. Joli is a trip, I loved her. She has so much strength and fire in her, I couldn't help but adore her. Dare is a sweetheart but its a good thing he is cute and learns from his mistakes. I cannot wait for more in this series!!
This book definitely was a lot of fun to read and kept me guessing for sure! The best part was VP Dare's quick claim on Chao's cousin Joli 🤣😂. And Joli was a handful being an independent woman who took no crap from anyone including all the alpha's in the 2 Pagan Soul MCs.
I swear Ciara St James has written a lot of books in this intertwined multi mc series & each storyline has its own set of craziness, drama, action, and of course steamy scenes too & it will definitely get you hooked & wanting to read more for stories on each of the Alphas from each club. If you haven't started from the beginning check out her website for her intertwined reading order so you don't miss anything in each of the MCs. I also love when other previous MCs & their Alphas get a mention or shows up in a book especially their old ladies, family and friends too. I am off to read the next book and see who's next to fall!
I love Ciara’s MC romances and this one lives up to the best of them. It starts fast and takes you on a roller coaster of emotion, loving up, and danger. The complications come from two different directions so it gets very intense. What amazes me is how Ciara keeps finding fresh twists and traumas. She’s written a lot of MC books already and yet her newer ones, including Dare’s Doll, don’t feel like a rehash of a previous plot. Her world-building inside her connected MCs is excellent. I have read all of her Warriors and Warrior-connected books and reread most of them. I recently finished my third rereads of Terror’s Temptress and Bull’s Duchess. They’re that good. I love all of her characters so much. Dare and Joli are perfect together. Thank you, Ciara, for another delightful read.
Holy cow, this book was a real doozy. One of the most memorable moments was when VP Dare made his move on Chao's cousin, Joli - that woman's got some serious attitude and wasn't afraid to stand up to anyone, including the toughest MC members. Ciara St James has written a bunch of books in this series, and she's got a real knack for crafting stories that are full of twists, turns, and some seriously sexy scenes. Her writing is like a drug - I'm totally hooked on those alpha MC guys. If you're new to the series, I highly recommend checking out the author's website for the recommended reading order - it'll make the whole experience way more enjoyable. Also, major props to the author for seamlessly incorporating characters from previous books into the story. I'm super excited to dive into the next book and see what's in store for these characters.
Dare’s Doll is the second book in the Pagan Souls of Cherokee MC series and follows Dare as he meets Joli, the cousin of one of the brothers in another chapter of the Souls, who has been having an issue with a stalker who won’t leave her alone.
I liked this book, the story was good and the claiming was super quick in this book. There were plenty of ups and downs to keep the book interesting and enjoyable. The characters were great, I loved how strong Joli was even with the issues she was having, and I really liked that she had no issue putting the brothers in their place.
Overall, this was a really good read and one I would recommend.
This is another good story by Ciara St. James. This time Dare meets his "one" when he goes to a friendly ally club. Her name is Joli and for him it was a case of insta-love. It wasn't very long though before she agreed to give him a chance. There is an outside threat against her; there is a stalker after her and both clubs work to protect her and find out who he is. This couple has many spicy scenes. They also have some angst and some drama in the form of a past club girl.. Have no fear they do reach their happily ever after. As always when I read one of her books I zipped right through it, a definite page turner.
I loved Dare when I met him in Agonys story.. I love the way that he is all serious yet playful at the same time. His Doll, is something else. The way that she'd pick in the brothers and then get all serious on them, was hilarious. I love her caring yet hard ways. The two together would go far in the world. The banter and the way that they were When alone made it easier to fall in live with them both. I loved this story and can't wait to read Knight's story next. Y'all really need to read this series.
This is book two and it is a instant romantic moment. Dare and some of his brothers has travelled to help Wrath, the brothers, and Chaos protect a young woman named Joli. There is some person stalking Joli. At first she doesn’t take it seriously, but then when one of the prospects discovers the gifts, they inform Joli’s cousin Chaos. There is a lot of drama in the storyline. It is similar to book one. There is a happy ending for the main characters. All of our favorite characters were part of the book. Read On!
Oh, Dare he had so much to learn from the strong, independent woman he fell hard and fast for. I enjoyed watching Joli be strong and independent even at times it was emotional and hard to watch her make some of the decisions she made. Watching a strong Alpa male brought to his knees by the woman he loves wasn’t always easy either, but in the end, in true Ciara fashion love prevailed!! Yet again, another wonderful book! ❤️
Joli had a stalker and she was living with her cousin at the Pagan Souls . Dare and his brothers from Pagan Souls of Cherokee came to help. The minute Dare saw Joli he claimed her. Pagan Souls of Cherokee were falling for their women fast. Though they go through some tough times the author gives us a great love story. Funding out who Joli stalker was was a shock. Can't wait for more. If you're reading this series you have to start from the beinging.
Book two in the Pagan Souls of Cherokee MC. When a sister chapter ask for their help dare is all in. The cousin of a brother has a stalker. Joli loves her life so when trouble comes her way. She needs help. Now it’s up to Dare and his brother to save the day. Like every other relationship their is misunderstanding, things are said. But the men of Pagan Soul are all alpha and when their ol lady are in danger al bets are off.
Joli is working close to her cousin who is a member of the Pagan Souls MC. She ends up meeting Dare who is the VP of the chapter. Dare is certain Jolie is the one for him, but will she give him a chance? What should be a wonderful time for Joli and Dare getting to know one another gets put to the test in more ways then one.
Another great book by this author. This series continues to surprise me and I like that each of the stories are vastly different.
Dare and his Doll are perfect for each other. Dare finds himself messing up multiple times and on the verge of losing his Doll forever. Add to that Joli has a stalker that is just crazy. The ups and downs, the tears of sadness, anger and also joy make his a love story you don’t want to skip.
Dare's Doll is book 2 in the Pagan Souls of Cherokee MC series written by the talented and amazing author Ciara St.James. The story has it all; drama, suspense, banter, romance, action and hot scenes. What more can you want? Loved Dare and Joli!!! Love this book so much, couldn't put it down!! Can't wait for the next book!!
The story was fine but it bothered me that there were some inconsistencies from Agony’s book. In this book it never mentioned Eliana’s accidents. It seems she was completely cured even though in the end of that book she was using a cane. Also it said she had no tattoos in this book but in the previous book she said she did. Not the end of the world but still.
I really loved reading this story. Jolie was such a bad added warrior woman. She worked hard for everything she had, and didn't take s---t from anyone. Dare goes to their sister chapter to help with a stalker situation, and falls hard so quickly when he meets Chaos's cousin. Lots of Angst and back and forth in their relationship. Great HEA ending. Trish. A.
I was expecting Joli to be a sweet little princess type not a b@ll busting Queen! I loved everything about Dare and now know he has a woman who is no wilting flower and can hold her own in dangerous situations!
This book,I absolutely loved this book, from the crazy unconventional start to the end, this love story was awesome,Dare and Joli are perfect for each other,I adore all of Ciara’s books but this one is a new favourite 🖤❤️
I always, always, look forward to reading another book in Ciara St James MC universe! Dare and Joli's story definitely doesn't disappoint; their story is perfection! I can't wait for the next fantabulous story to be published!!
Dare is the VP of the Cherokee club. And claims his lady at first meeting Jodi. But a fast claiming leads to secrets revealed and hurt feeling. In this follow up book. Knights next up..
