My high schooler just texted me asking me what was the name of this book. He remembers it from 12-14 years ago. It obviously made an impression, so maybe those rating it 1 star just don’t get it. 🤣

First, this book is really too young for either of the boys (6 yo & 4 yo). It's about a pig who kicks a ball and a dog chases after it but is gone so long, the pig thinks the dog took the ball. He tells this to all his animal friends and they all wail and gnash their teeth along with him. The dog comes back eventually. He was gone so long because it took so long to catch the ball because it was so bouncy.

Juvenile illustrations.

Not a very interesting story, and why all the tears over something so small? Empathy is good and so are hugs, but this encouraged hysteria.
