Rule of Three #5

Triple Threat

She’s picked her team. Now she just has to score.

When a summer storm sweeps in, Ava finds herself road tripping across the state with two sexy-as-sin strangers. A flat tyre delays their trip, and the only hotel in town with a vacancy has just one bed.

Even though the two men are complete opposites, both have her captivated. The only thing hotter than being with Bryce, the handsome footballer with a perpetual smile, and Cole, the dark and broody construction worker, is watching them together.

Their holiday fling soon turns into more, but the odds are stacked against them. Threats come in threes, and Bryce has to face one that will change the path of both his future and career.

But Ava’s playing for keeps. Can this trio emerge as the victors?

Triple Threat is the feel-good, out-for-you MMF romance that concludes the Rule of Three series. Featuring a swoony cinnamon bun, a grump and the woman who captures both their hearts, you'll fall in love with all three.

By day Ann Grech lives in the corporate world and can be found sitting behind a desk typing away at reports and papers or lecturing to a room full of students. She graduated with a PhD in 2016 and is now an over-qualified nerd. Glasses, briefcase, high heels and a pencil skirt, she’s got the librarian look nailed too. If only they knew! She swears like a sailor, so that’s got to be a hint. The other one was “the look” from her tattoo artist when she told him that she wanted her kids initials “B” and “J” tattooed on her foot. It took a second to register that it might be a bad idea.
She’s never entirely fit in and loves escaping into a book—whether it’s reading or writing one. But she’s found her tribe now and loves her MM book world family. She dislikes cooking, but loves eating, can’t figure out technology, but is addicted to it, and her guilty pleasure is Byron Bay Cookies. Oh and shoes. And lingerie. And maybe handbags too. Well, if we’re being honest, we’d probably have to add her library too given the state of her credit card every month (what can she say, she’s a bookworm at heart)!
She also publishes her raunchier short stories under her pen name, Olive Hiscock.

I loved it! Cole, bryce and ava all complimented each other so well and their story was nice to read. One thing is that I wish at certain times that it would've went into detail rather than time skipping but regardless I enjoyed it

...

Fate in the form of a dust storm had brought them to one another. Call it recklessness or faith, but Ava had known her guys were different. Something had told her to trust them. She might not have known Bryce and Cole then, but her soul recognized its counterparts. Her heart recognized the ones it beat for.

...

"There are three of us in our relationship. None of us are cheating on the other because we’re all together.”

"Like his, my girlfriend and boyfriend are together, too, and we love one another deeply.”

This was an amazing read. Often with menage stories, there are more seggzy times than plot, however, Grech managed to explore the social implications of the arrangement and the emotional aspects for the characters. There was amazing growth amongst our trio and a wonderful community was established. Glad to have been given an opportunity to read an early copy.

Cole, Ava and Bryce meet waiting at the airport when all flights are cancelled. They decide to get together and drive to their destination. What they didn’t expect is the outcome of their trip to blow up the way it did.
Grumpy, happy to lucky and a plain old romantic all thrown together and you get the perfect thruple.
Really liked this book, had some heavy scenes in it which was fine by me!
Was lucky to receive as an arc for my honest review.
I haven’t read the other two books but this was an enjoyable book. I don’t know which character I love the most.

So I got this book on kindle thinking it was gonna be a light read. Nope! The feelings you get, the way you fall for the characters, everything draws you in and makes you keep wanting more.

A short introduction
I'm a bi man who learned english all by myself
So my writing could be subpar to a literal toddler babbling at times
So keep that in mind
I read this series (and this author's catalogue) during the war (yes, I'm iranian)
So everything came out very rant-y rather than a real review
Basically i wrote comments as i was reading and ranted my frustrations and excitements out.

I later changed my format and started to do real reviews

So, enjoy my rants for a whole series till Zali and HER men.

********

These 3 are so cute 😭 please don't disappoint me, unlike the last book, the guys literally lust after each other just as much as her, and she doesn't look at their interactions as something for her, i love them already

*******

I though book 3 characters were my fave, but these 3 are really making me fall for them all, I'm actually enjoying Ava, miss girly is really doing it for me

*******

The christmas market scene was perfection, from the moment they even thought about going till the moment it finished, it really made me love them as individual characters and also as a potential throuple

Every 1on1 dynamic is literally perfect in my eyes, it's only chapter 5 but miss Ann really stepped her pen up, I'm so proud of her so far

********

Idk if i want to be them or be with them

**********

Oh i loooove Ava, little minx is a devious genius

***********

Oh I'm fanning myself over them kissing Ava

*******

Remember when i said i rarely squirm or react to spicy scenes? Well, it happened again, they're all so hot, individually and together, just fucking hot

*********

YES!! the guys kissed!!!

*********

"But they were beautiful together too, because for all that aggression and heat, there was a tenderness."

Oh how i love this woman, "Addy" could neverrrrr

********

"Her heart broke for him, knowing he would have to walk this journey without ever being open and honest with his teammates unless he wanted to be the one to walk the path first."

So, i guess i found my 4th book girlfriend, miss Ava herself, literally a beautiful character, inside and out

******

I love how involved everyone is with each other, even when they focus to pleasure and focus on one person at a time, like for example, in the first scene, Ava is clearly the focus, but it's not at the expense of the guys, they still give each other pleasure, but she gets a bit more than them, previous book could neverrrrr

********

"But this was about more than just her."

Oh Ava, how much i adore you, woman.

See how easy it is to not be a selfish FMC? "Addy" could neverrrrr

*********

This shit is hot 😩 damn, i wanna be everybody

******

Oh it's hit after hit with the smut and their dirty talk

******

The casual affection between them is just as good as Jake, Phoenix and Cass, it's very balanced and fairly distributed, it's very beautiful, I'm literally like this with every scene

20241213-141247

********

So, it's chapter 13 and I'm getting a bit tired of getting Ava centred smut scenes.

We've gotten 4 threesomes if I'm not mistaken and she was the center in almost all of them, yes the guys still give each other affection and action here and there but it gets to a point, fingers crossed for a change cause it's slowly starting to bother me.

*******

I think this and the 2nd bool were the only books on the series where the MM pair had at least a solo scene with penetration fully dedicated to them, miss Ann, if you see this, i fucking love you mama, you wonderful being.

*********

Omg!!! Cole told Bryce "i love you" when they were on their own!!

"Trouble" by Britanee Nicole could neverrrrr.

*******

Can Jake's dad die already?

********

Fucking finally!!! A threesome that is not focused on the FMC, the gods hear the pleases of this desperate heathen!!!

*********

Can Bryce stfu for a second?

"Liam, please!"

Exactly, please stfu. Let the man speak damn it.

*******

It ended ok, i expected more.. i also expected the "winning a match" night be more about bryce than Ava but hey, he said that's what he wanted *shrug*

Triple Threat ... the perfect finale

Sometimes fate has a way of leading a person to the one they were meant to be with, but what happens when fate finds three strangers who were destined to be together? Ava, Bryce, and Cole are about to find out.

A ray of sunshine, a teddy bear, and a grump; one woman and two men are about to have their lives inexplicably changed in the best way possible. When their flights are cancelled Ava, Bryce and Cole band together and decide to take a road trip to their destinations. Mutually attracted to each other from the outset, and after some wonderful moments of extreme sexual tension, it is not long before things begin to heat up. What will happen when they reach their destinations, will they part as friends, or will they all want something more?

Ann Grech's Rule Of Three series has been an absolute pleasure to read, and TRIPLE THREAT is definitely my favourite. Ava, Bryce and Cole were destined to be together, yet their journey was not an easy one. They each had obstacles to hurdle and emotions to overcome. There was so much love, caring, understanding, support, and loyalty shared by this amazing throuple. They always had each other's backs, especially in times of heartache and when prejudices were against them. As per normal, Ann's words describing the sexy and sensual scenes were simply delicious. I loved catching up with all the characters from her previous books in this series and witnessing how they had become one large happy family.

Once again Ann has shown that she is the Queen of this trope. TRIPLE THREAT is not a book to be missed. It was the perfect finale to the Rule Of Three series.

A highly recommended read.

I absolutely loved this story: I was hooked from the very beginning and continued to be right until the end. With such terrific characters, how could you not love this story? Once I started I literally couldn’t put it down.

All three lead characters, Cole, Ava and Bryce, are very different, yet work so well together. Their chemistry is amazing, and their understanding and support for each other is admirable. With Cole being bisexual and Bryce pansexual, life for Ava made a turn for the better when she met these two hunks!

Cole is the gruff, serious one, but with his past trauma it’s understandable. Ava is a strong, determined career-minded young woman, who knows when she’s into a good thing. Bryce is such a happy-go-lucky fellow, he brings a wealth of sunshine into the relationship. However, it’s his career that causes a huge nightmare for them.

I love how characters from previous stories make appearances in this story too, but it isn’t imperative to have read these books to gain a full awareness of everything. They are great stories in and of themselves though. I should clarify, I loved nearly all of the previous characters… there was that one rat fink who I instantly started to panic about. Now, that’s the sign of good writing in my opinion! BTW… without giving anything away about what happens with that baddie, I’ll just leave you with this 😊.

What stands out is the overwhelming support and acceptance, for the right for people to be themselves. This message is crystal clear but not thrown in your face, it’s incorporated in the story so well. It truly made me feel all warm and fuzzy inside, leaving me on such a high when I had finished the book. I can’t recommend this enough.

Ann Grech writes the best MMF stories ever...

You always end up falling for all of her characters, of course she puts them through the mill before giving them their happy ending.

Prejudices, evil people and heartless families will break your heart, but by the end when they come together with their found families you will finally breath in relief.

Bryce, Ava and Cole are 3 single people that get thrown together totally unexpectedly and go on a journey together. They each have different stories, problems and worries, but for a short time they wanted to get away and forget it all. They couldn't have known how that journey would end up being life changing for them all.

As the miles get higher so does the sexual chemistry in that truck. Boy was that sexual tension palpable, by the time they all give in and get that room I was ready to explode. The intimate scenes are so passionate, so beautiful that I found myself smiling throughout. Their personalities are well matched and their desires are given free reign to come out of hiding. By the end of their road trip Bryce, Ava and Cole find that they want to be in each others lives, for a long time.

The angst, the drama, the love, the passion is all consuming, however their future will not be so smooth. Will they be able to overcome so much hatred and many road blocks, will it still be worth it by the end?

Oh Ms Grech you have done it again, you have given my heart another work out, I loved it, I also loved catching up with all of the previous throuples and seeing how they are all connected in one way or another.

I'm not an insta love girl. Very much a bottom tier trope for me. However, surprisingly it didn't bother me with this book and this was a full length novel. This was my first read from this author and let me just say, I will be reading more from her. I thoroughly enjoyed this book. The characters were layered, well written and incredibly likeable. The spice was spicing. The sex scenes were written very well. I constantly rave about how MMF is the Supreme poly dynamic and I've yet to be proven wrong. The relationship between Ava, Bryce and Cole was very very cute. Bryce and Cole's relationship with each other and their relationship with Ava was chef's kiss. This was a very feel good heartwarming queer poly book. I will definitely be rereading in the future.

I’ve loved all the books in the Rule of Three series and Triple Threat is my personal favourite. Although it’s hard to pick a favourite three, they are all good. Read the series in order.

What starts with 3 random people meeting over a cancelled flight from Sydney airport results in a well written love story. There’s lots of steamy bits and drama but what I enjoyed the most was the characters, the emotional way Author Ann Grech portrays them and relationships not just in their 3 but all with the friends they make.

This story begins when the 3 MCs all have their flights cancelled due to a huge storm but rather than cancel their vacations, they decide to road trip together. All three lead characters, Cole, Ava and Bryce, are very different, yet work so well together. The heated scenes were filled with a ton of passion.

Coming back from their vacation they all want to make it work but they have a lot to overcome individually to find their happiness.

It was a great read and I highly recommend.

Even time I read one of these mmf stories by Ms Grech I get pulled into a world I never want to leave. I genuinely can't recommend this series and this book enough. I've already read it twice.

I loved how different Ava, Bryce, and Cole are, but they totally complete each other. It was fascinating watching this thruple not only fall in love, but have to live in secret because of Bryce's career. Even though there were difficulties from being against the "normal" way of live, their low times lead them to new beginnings and new framily who can relate to what these 3 are going through. I loved the family aspect in this one, not lacking on heat, and completely full of love.

Another why choose that could've been amazing but the author completely ruined it by adding MM.

Wow, Wow, Wow !!! What a way to finish this beautiful series! The amazing Ann Grech does it again, with the final installment of the Rule of Three series. Ava, Bryce and Cole are just delicious !! So different from each other but a perfect fit. The story flows beautifully from the 1st page to the last. It was so nice to see where the others from the previous books were at in there stories. Even though each book can be read on its own, do yourself a favour and read them all, you won't be disappointed!!
