Annette Mitchell was taught by her mother to knit, sew, and embroider from the age of four. She works as a teacher and knitwear designer. (from The Country Diary Book of Knitting)
Talk about eye-candy!!! It's sweaters modeled after the nature terms from The Country Diary of an Edwardian Lady, simply divine!!! There's even things to knit for teddy bears and bunnies!!
Strong call back to a Beatrix Potter/country vintage type of art design. The book is separted by the seasons and all the patterns have a flower or bird name. I like some of the patterns but mostly I bought this for the art. The sweater on the cover is really pretty!
There are such beautiful patterns in this book for both adults' and childrens' clothes. There are also patterns for matching jumpers and skirts for teddy bears and even a pattern to make a fluffy toy hedgehog.
