It takes but a few weeks to form a habit. Readers of the rerelease of 31 Days of Prayer can form a prayer habit that lasts a lifetime with this beautiful and practical devotional. Authors Ruth and Warren Myers show readers how to grow in prayer, even if the amount of time set aside seems small at first. The book guides believers through prayer for thirty-one days, allowing for personalized prayer that reflects individual circumstances and areas for spiritual growth. 31 Days of Prayer leads readers step by step into praying about what is close to their hearts and God's.
I was actually planning on getting through this book several times this year (it "could" be finished in a month), but I had so many other devotionals going on, plus being out of country for two months, that I only just barely managed to make it through once. (finished early Jan 2020) However, I quite like how it was written, the extra sections, all the verses, and how it helped me to focus on a different topic to pray for each day - like pastors, goverments, missionaries, etc etc. I will definitely be going another round with this :)
I was given this book as a gift when I was recovering from a surgery. Seeing that it wasn't a "light" read, it sat on the shelf until I was able to concentrate. Since picking the book up, my prayer life hasn't been the same! Not only does it give an introduction section with keen insights, but it has 31 days of various prayers of praise and a 3rd section with insights on the importance of praise. Each section was valuable, and I was stretched to praise God for things that I didn't necessarily want to be praising God for. If you wish to grow in your relationship with God and your worship of Him, this is a MUST read!
