This was a longer study. It took me 2 1/2 months of diligence. It started out strong with an Introduction to Prayer, Chapter 1, followed by Chapter 2 Jehoshaphat's prayer. 2 Chronicles 20. These were my favorites. Lots of attention to David and the Psalms. As I flip the the book I am impressed by the homework I did. I had a couple of my own thoughts penciled in that are insightful. I still end the study feeling I am such a weak prayer and that makes me sad.
Being very forthright I do feel Susan is a bit preachy sometimes/just her tone. But I believe her book was written in love. I bet someone might say that about me too.
Incredible and Biblically sound Bible study! Ladies, if you are looking for a deeper and richer prayer life then this book is a must read. Each chapter focuses on a different prayer from the Bible and then clearly and concisely breaks it down. The questions at the end of the chapter are thought provoking and really reinforce everything you've just learned. Susan Heck is a favorite of mine! I love her no nonsense attitude. She tells it like it is from a place of love, and you walk away better for it with a lot to think about.
