There's nothing wrong with this book at all. I just now question why I even bother buying travel books like this. Even as updated as they are, the internet will always be more up to date. I book hotels based on online reviews and availability, not one of these books. I suppose I do skim these books for some useful information. More, though, it's probably the egotism of being able to "show off" where I'll be traveling next and as eventual souvenirs of my trip. Machu Picchu and Salar de Uyuni, here we come!

(I just thought of another reason why I might buy these: to pad my "read" stats for the year!)

[2010.09.15] Used 2010 7th edition to plan the Bolivia portion (approx 1 week) of our Fall 2010 South America trip. Sections used: Lake Titicaca, La Paz. Bought and printed out portions of the e-book pdf. Don't remember there being any glaring inaccuracies or anything of that sort. (Note: if traveling from Copacabana to La Paz, take care when choosing the bus company and try to find one that doesn't drop off by the cemetery (downtown or terminal are both better). If you need a taxi after getting into La Paz, flag one down (that looks like a legit radio cab) instead of using any of the ones already waiting near the drop-off area.)

Si no hubiera tenido este libro me habría perder en Potosí, mi única guia fue el mapa y lo usé para visitar el Salar de Uyuni también y para encontrar museos y sitios de interés en Sucre y Cochabamba. Lo leí todo, tantos los comentarios culturales como los mapas, pero quizás sería mejor leerlo ANTES de viajar para que se sepa como es la gente, la cocina, como se viaja, la percepción de los extranjeros y ''gringos'' que viajan por el país, información sobre los bloqueos etc. Bolivia es un país precioso pero también puede ser confuso y debe ser especialmente difícil para la gente que no habla ni castellano ni quechua.
