In this collection of poetry, the author can be found speaking in the voice of a light bulb, a hungover window-cleaner, a photographer trapped in a condemned block, and a deranged collector of vinyl.

A re-read and worth the re-visit. I think Farley is a really talented poet. Here in his debut collection he makes really great, tight poems from those miscellaenous things in life such as light bulbs and televisions.

I might have missed out on something here. Should probably re-read it before returning it to the library.

I could see and connect the lines in many of the pieces here. "Dependants" and "The Colonists" immediately.
