Four-time RITA finalist, Scarlett Cole, is a contemporary romantic suspense / contemporary romance author (represented by Louise Fury at The Bent Agency) who calls both Toronto, Canada and Manchester, England home. A born city dweller, she periodically quashes the urge to live in the country by hiking up a mountain to remind herself that living away from people would terrify the pants off her.

She believes everybody deserves their love story to be told and loves her heroes on the rough and rugged side…and usually tall (because she married one of those 6ft 6” men you read about in romance!). She’s an A-type personality and Scorpio star sign, so good luck getting her to do anything she doesn’t want to.

When she isn’t writing, she’s happy to talk hot men and expensive shoes while drinking a cold gin and tonic. Don’t bring up olives. As far as Scarlett is concerned, they are the devil’s food. As long as you don’t bring up olives, she’s happy to hear from any time.

Story: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Trope: Romeo/Juliet
Angst: 😱😱😱
Smexy:🔥🔥🔥🔥

The Games We Play is an action-filled and emotional ride from beginning to end! Anyone who's read the first book knew that sparks went off between Spark and Iris from the moment they met and that a relationship between the Iron Outlaw's huge Sergeant at Arms and the schoolteacher niece of the Irish mob was bound to start some fires. The two have tons of obstacles to overcome to include members of their own families as well dangerous threats to both Iris and the club.

The Games We Play is definitely on the darker and grittier side, both with the storyline as well as with the characters. Spark has a ton of unresolved trauma and he's a man that uses fucking and fighting as a way to "cope" with the PTSD he won't acknowledge he has. His feelings for Iris completely blindside him. She's his complete opposite. Petite compared to his 6'6" frame. Light to his dark. But Iris has her own demons, struggling to be able to take care of her autistic brother while trying to extricate them both from her uncle's life. The Games We Play is well written, super fast paced, and HOT HOT HOT 🥵. And I loved how they resolved the issues between them rather than dragging things out unnecessarily, making volatile and potentially hurtful situations worse. This series is truly blowing me away - both books have made it into my faves list for this year and the teaser for Saint and Briar's book has me panting for what's next!

The Games We Play can be read as a standalone, but best enjoyed when read in series order. It is told in first person, from dual perspective.

5 stars!

I am so in love with this book! A gritty MC romance with a sensationally swoony and sexy forbidden romance, I loved losing myself in this world with these characters, and I devoured this book in a day, unable to put it down.

This is book #2 in the Iron Outlaws MC series. I was blown away by the first book in this series, The Sins We Hide, and this is a very worthy follow up. You don’t have to have read the first book in the series, though it will certainly help. And be aware that this book contains pretty big spoilers for the first.

Spark is an ex-Marine and the Sargent at Arms for the Iron Outlaws. In the last book, we saw him meet Iris, who was the only witness to the death of their club President, and when she got caught up in an incident with the club and was injured, Spark went into instant protective mode. Things became complicated when it was revealed Iris is the niece and god-daughter to an Irish crime family, and enemy of the club, so she was quickly whisked out of his life. But Spark’s protective nature and his strange connection to Iris is impossible to ignore, and he appoints himself her protector, following her, helping her out, and checking in to make sure she’s safe. Iris is well aware of her big, badass shadow, and though she should be scared, she’s intrigued and a little turned on by Spark’s continued presence in her life.

It’s a weird dynamic, but Spark is all in. His experiences as a marine have left him dealing with a lot of trauma which he is struggling to deal with, and his protective nature won’t let him walk away from Iris. But more than that, his instant connection with her knocked him on his ass, and he wants more from her. Sex, of course, but more than that, he feels something real for her, he finds peace and calm when he’s around her, and though he’s been told by his President to keep his distance, he can’t stay away.

My gut tells me Iris is important.
My head tells me she’s trouble.
And my heart…well, in the middle of the night, when I can’t sleep and the tequila hasn’t helped, I wonder if she may be the very glue to put me back together.

Iris has tried so hard to create a good life, distancing herself from her Uncle’s nefarious business, and wanting nothing to do with an MC, but she finds herself more and more drawn to Spark. Not only is he gorgeous and kind-hearted, but he’s sexy as all hell. When he makes it clear that he wants her, she’s torn between her head and her heart (and other body parts), but the man proves to be impossible to resist.

“I feel like resisting you is like trying to stand in the path of a hurricane, hoping it changes course.”
… “Done resisting?” I asked the question casually, but I need to know the answer more than anything else.
“Yes, Spark. I think I am.”

OMG, I was so invested in these two coming together! I could completely understand Iris falling under Spark’s spell, because he’s so freaking gorgeous and sweet, with a darkly wild and sexy edge. He holds nothing back from her, he tells her what he wants and he shows her in so many ways. He’s devoted, protective, smitten and completely committed, and I swooned so hard over him!

“I’d set fire to the whole fucking world for you, Iris, and protect you from the flames”.

Their relationship may have its challenges, but it feels so organic! It’s natural and easy, honest and functional, and so freaking sexy! Holy hot damn, Spark is filthy man with an even filthier mouth, he loves to dominate, and the sexy times are sizzling! Their physical connection is an important part of their relationship, deepening their connection and giving them the opportunity to open up completely to each other, and there are some really powerful moments between these two.

“This, you and me, feels like a fucking comet burning through the sky. Hot, fast, and so fucking beautiful it’s blinding.”

But while Spark and Iris are falling for each other, they’re also dealing with the fallout from their decision to be together. Not only the forbidden nature of them being together, but she is battling against her Uncle, who has strong ideas about how she should be helping the family, and the MC is facing a new threat which sucks both Spark and Iris into danger. It’s suspenseful and intense, and there are parts of this book that had me holding my breath in shock and terror, and it’s all so emotional! The way it all happens adds to the depth and mood of the series, and the world that the Iron Outlaws live in, and I was so completely captivated.

The story moves at a great pace, and there are fantastic moments of playfulness between Spark and Iris, as well as fun lightness with the MC boys, which balance out the dark really well. And though it’s definitely got that MC feel, it’s the love story which is the focus, and the romance owned my heart.

“Never thought I’d meet my reason for being, Iris. Yet here you are.”

That heartstopping ending brings a fantastic twist, and I am SO excited to see where things go from here. I’m falling so hard for the Iron Outlaw boys, and I’m so excited for Saint’s book up next!

This was an easy grade to pick. No question for me it’s a five star book even though there were some issues,

This is the second book in the Iron Outlaws MC series. Despite being somewhat uncomfortable reading the first book, I loved it. Still being uncomfortable reading the second book, I loved it it even more. Spark is our hero in this book. He’s the club’s master at arms and as such it’s his job to scout out places, make sure everyone is safe since they live a dangerous lifestyle and being the chief protector overall. His father was an Iron Outlaw so Spark has grown up in this life. He was in the Marines for a while and was in a horrific suicide bombing when the US withdrew from Afghanistan and his friends all died. He has PTSD but refuses to do anything about it. As such he’s kind of rudderless though he does have his “brothers”.

Iris is the heroine in this one. We met her in the first book when she was a witness to the murder of the previous president. She was shot because of it and saved by Spark and another member of the club who rescued her and brought her back to the clubhouse. She didn’t stay long though as her uncle is the local head of the Irish mob. Though they have a truce with the Iron Outlaws, it’s very tentative and could break down at any moment into warfare between the two factions.

This book opens a month after the shooting and Spark hasn’t been able to get Irish out of his mind. And she can’t forget about Spark, making this very much Romeo and Juliette kind of tale.

Although very much an antihero, Spark is an absolutely amazing hero. He is very protective of those he loves and as he falls deeper and deeper in love with Iris, he becomes more and more protective of her and it’s so unbelievably swoony. He really is a hero who would literally die for her. Which in turn makes him more and more an attractive hero.

Iris is also falling deeper and deeper in love with Spark but she does not want to be part of that lifestyle. She was once and worked very hard to get out of it. She hates that she is being dragged back in because of her feelings for Spark.

I really had a hard time putting this book down and simply couldn’t leave it for long. Although this is a genre I tend to avoid. S. Cole has completely drawn me in and I can’t wait to start the next book in the series.

Only two books into the Iron Outlaws MC series and I am already highly addicted to these men and women. There is just so much grit and strength in the storyline that you just can’t help but become addicted! I said this before in the previous book, but for those of you in the back (lol), put your seatbelts on, it's gonna get bumpy!!

The Games We Play was unpredictable at every turn. Some of the twists in this story had turns and some of the turns looped so much that I might have audibly gasped in places. If you you’re new to this world, let me be frank and let you know there are no gumdrops and lollipops anywhere in sight. I’m not saying it’s a complete horror show, but there’s a fair amount of violence and true outlaw motorcycle club circumstances at every turn.

I won’t bore you with the details of the greatness that us Iris & Spark, but get ready for fire & sass at every turn! They are magnificent together and as individuals and as we learn more and more about the supporting characters as well, I feel like a junkie who needs her next fix yesterday! These stories could not publish fast enough!

I’ve been a fan, more like a super fan, of Scarlett Cole since she published her first fiction romance and she has never disappointed! No, not every book has been a superstar, but this leap she has taken into this type of romance fiction is a huge one and she has landed on both feet with grace! I am convinced there is nothing this woman could not write and write it well!

Spark is so freaking sexy. This story is so good loved all of it. They both go through so much and find they are stronger together.

The next book sounds like it is going to be just as good.

This book took me a really long time to review because I wasn’t sure how I felt about it. I liked so much about it, yet something held me back. And until I figured out what it was I wasn’t going to share.

I figured it out.

I really didn’t like Iris (FMC). It was nothing in particular except that she felt disingenuous. Spark fell quickly, hard, and completely, and while it’s understandable that she wouldn’t (I mean, hello, stalk much?) she seemed like she was faking her feelings in order to use him. I didn’t like that.

But you know what? You don’t have to like every character to like the story. I have settled on the fact that I didn’t like the FMC, but I liked that the author wrote her in a way that was complex enough for me to NOT like her (as opposed to feeling passé).

Now let’s talk about Spark (MMC). 🫶 What a dreamy, damaged dude. I loved him. He was rough around the edges but oh so intriguing. Like him, I fell and I fell hard.

Much like the first book of the series, this is one of the most romantic MC books I’ve read. The writing is flawless. It’s engaging and fast-paced.

Will read book 3.

I may have found Scarlett Cole's rockstars first and enjoyed every single wonderful moment with her Excess All Areas series, but she's written in a 'new to her' genre now- one I was excited to dive right back into again with The Games We Play.

The second book in this latest series- Iron Outlaws MC, drops her readers back into the new world that began in The Sins We Hide, continuing now with those darker characters and situations, living with danger and uncertainty around every corner. Enemies can be anywhere and are sometimes closer than they think and who to trust beyond this band of brothers can be the biggest risk of all.

If you've read book 1, then you have already met and most definitely have been wondering what goes on in the mind and heart of Spark, aka- Tyler Hyatt, Iron Outlaws Sergeant at Arms. I know I was! He's a steady presence in the clubhouse, but behind that big, badass Viking exterior, there's a huge pile of guilt that doesn't often see the light of day. With regret and high emotions never dealt with after his tour of duty, this veteran served his time, but still hadn't come to terms with any of it's lasting repercussions.

Fiesty and independent Iris O'Connor, the sassy and beautiful niece of a powerful Irish crime boss- a sworn enemy of the Iron Outlaws MC. She appeared like a vision, capturing Spark's attention in the first book and he hasn't been able to let her go. She unwillingly straddles the life between a teacher of young minds, the MC club who rushed in to save her along with her powerful, controlling uncle, but is now caught directly the middle of all of them.

Spark is a born protector and Iris became his new mission after being shot on his watch. Told to stay away, leaving her to fend for herself and fight alone? Not likely- he'll just be more invisible and obsess over her from the shadows. The pull between them is fierce and undeniable, but Iris isn't sure she could ever end up embedded in this kind of unlawful life again.

What you can expect to find here is suspenseful, fast paced action, plots within plots and a crazy twist even I didn't see coming at the end which will keep you reading way past your bedtime. The developing love between Spark and Iris progressed with fire and heat- perfect for who they were together, with plenty of spicey scenes burning up between them. Spark was a multi-dimensional soul with so much heart under his tough persona- direct and unapologetic about what he wanted and needed from her. He had a dominant, dirty talking side stashed away, which I thoroughly enjoyed exploring as the story progressed. I really loved both sides of him- hard, yes, but he could also gentle behind closed doors- he seemed to ba able to sense what his little chick needed from the start. Iris, with her kind, sweet and nurturing demeanor, seemed to have a sixth sense about Spark as well and helped him face his own demons, while he stood by her side as she found the way to resolve her own.

I loved The Games We Play and now the clock is counting down for the next book in this fantastic series. Saint's book might be 'the one' I didn't know I was waiting for all along! It will seem like forever but will surely be worth it. Do yourself a favor and read The Sins We Hide first, if time allows. There's much more to this world and for maximum enjoyment, start your Iron Outlaws binge with book one and keep on going.

I read and am reviewing an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

3.5 stars rounded up to 4
This story was good, and I really enjoyed both the main characters - Sparks and Iris - and the side characters. There was definitely a lot going on, and the overall plot of the series became a bit more apparent.
The reason for the 3.5 stars is that there were some continuity stuff that yanked me out of the story, especially when it came to Iris' car.

Waaaaay too much military worship in this one 🤮 I am not a simp for the US. Love the hard on for hating white supremacy but it’s feeling kinda forced so we know these one percenters are GOOD GUYS despite trafficking guns and god knows what else.

Spark went from an alleged manwhore to basically just a dude who is ignoring his PTSD and not good at following orders?

The way they fell in love was too fast and out of nowhere. Also Iris goes from “no way am I gonna spy” to IMMEDIATELY snooping? It made no sense.

Don’t get the deal with her uncle and the random car accident and his will he won’t he stop care for her autistic brother. Cool to have disability rep especially when there was someone advocating for him to have more independence. But he’s really just a tool and a prop for representation if you ask me.

Not looking forward to reading about Saint and his 15 million bible verses so probably skipping around in the series from here on out. So far book one and two follow the same script with new characters inserted.

The Games We Play is the next book in the Iron Outlaws MC series by S. Cole. I loved book 1 and was excited to get Spark's book. Iris is a great heroine because she grew up exposed to crime as the niece of an Irish mobster, but still wanted better for herself and her siblings. She is independent, but still needs her uncle to provide care for her younger brother who is Autistic. If she had the means to take care of him, she would, but because he needs significant care, she has to rely on her uncle.

Spark has some pretty serious PTSD that he isn't dealing with. He feels an instant connection with Iris and begins, for all intents and purposes, stalking her. She isn't sure what to do with this because she knows his lifestyle is just as dangerous as the mob. But, there is a connection between them even Iris can't deny. Their relationship is unconventional, but so is their life. While Iris doesn't want to rely on anyone, she realizes that Spark isn't going to use and manipulate her like her uncle. Also, Spark is a dirty boy!! So, be prepared for some kinky sex!

Overall, this was another good story in this series! I am excited to continue!

⭐⭐⭐⭐ - Plot, Characters, Pacing
🌶️🌶️🌶️.5 - Spice quality/quantity, execution
🥵🥵🥵🥵 - Chemistry, HEA potential

“I want to hear the words come from those sweet lips. The dirtier, the better.” - The Games We Play by Scarlett Cole

The moment sergeant at arms Sparks laid his eyes on Iris, he knew she was something special. But as the niece of a Irish mob boss, she’s very much off-limits and not interested in settling down with someone in the crime world. That is until a new kind of danger sets its eyes upon Iris, leading Sparks to get closer than ever to protect her. Will they be able to explore this overdue chemistry? Or will the bad blood between their people cost them everything?

Dear universe, can you send a long-haired MC rider who likes using his body as well as his dirty mouth? Because I’ve just read “The Games We Play”, the second book of the Iron Outlaw series that follows our lovable SAA and the woman he’s fallen head-over-heels for. This love story’s got it all, from drama, shoot-outs, and a dark knight willing to do anything to protect Iris.

Contrary to Spark’s devotion, Iris is determined not to pursue this romance, knowing doing so would cost her her place in the normal world and her youngest brother. Like many fabulous motorcycle heroines, she’s a stubborn fighter not afraid to bring these big, scary biker guys down a peg, making Sparks and myself enjoy her even more.

As for our MMC himself, I loved him completely. He’s got some ghosts haunting him since his military days, yet doesn’t let them get the better of him, instead looking forward to the people who make him feel complete, including the Iron Outlaws and Iris herself. Spark’s got everything a reader is looking for in a biker romance, from protective, kind, and horny as a hound dog. Not to mention his dominant side that comes around the middle and end of the book, which had me blushing and kicking my legs.

Complete with a high-stakes plot, familiar faces, and a new romance brewing on the side, “The Games We Play” holds up the first book’s enjoyment and thrill while establishing itself as its own work of spicy biker art.

Final Smut Archive assessment: Cursive has never been so stimulating.

Meet Spark, the sergeant at arms for the Iron Outlaws. A true biker gang. Those one percenters, who have a code, an honour and will live and die by it.

And for Spark that code and his position mean so much more. As a former soldier, he witnessed things; you can't imagine, lost civilians and friends and he blames himself for it every day.

But being an Iron Outlaw gives him a purpose and he's determined to keep his new president and the rest of the outlaws safe; and do whatever is asked of him.

Yet, when it comes to Iris all bets are off.

As he's been warned by his president King to stay far away from the Irish Mob bosses niece. A kindergarten teacher. Who wants nothing to do with her uncles dodgy dealings or the Iron Outlaws. Especially as she witnessed the murder of the old president and got a bullet for her trouble.

But when her and her brother's futures are threatened Iris has no choice but to get close to Spark.

Although that's no hardship. As Spark has been stalking her since she was shot and she'd be lying if she said he didn't make her panties wet. And when they do come together, the chemistry is off the charts.

However, the Iron Outlaws may have made a deadly move. That puts them in the line of fire from not only the Irish Mob but the Righteous Brotherhood, and now a war is brewing on the streets of New Jersey with Iris caught in the middle.

And with a storyline that had me hooked from the very first page. Fantastic characters, fun moments, shocks, surprises, heart and off the charts heat. The Games We Play is an exhilarating read, and I can't wait for Saint's story, especially with how this one ended.

I would also one hundred percent recommend this story to all. As this is one of the best MC Romances, I've ever read!

My thanks to Scarlett Cole and Wildfire Marketing for the opportunity to read an early copy of The Games We Play.

Oh, Spark and Iris are so much more than a flicker or “spark”, they are a fiery hot, combustible combination both physically and emotionally!
This couples story is unconventional and I’m so in love, I have a bit of an attraction to fictional stalkers, so Spark is my kind of guy.
Both characters are a bit life weary, have big, generous hearts and they seem to balance the soft and rough for each other.
They both are trying to hide some personal issues and you can be sure things don’t remain hidden forever.
Both show compassion, kindness and care that made it impossible for me not to love them and feel they are perfect for each other.
There’s quite a few swoony scenes that melted my heart.
It’s a fast paced MC romance with a bit of the gritty factor you’d expect, plenty of action and a lot of steamy, emotional romance.
The romance is different than the usual as Spark is an alpha, stalker(ish) biker who’s main focus is protecting people. So, he shows his care of Iris by protecting her and in many cases overstepping normal boundaries. It’s humorous at times and oddly very sweet.
The sexual aspect is super hot, very intense and involves some k!nks and the combination is absolutely smoking HOT!
I love the maturity of the writing and the characters. There’s no unnecessary drama or games. Just the very human complications and hurdles to be faced.
I love this MC world and cast of characters the author has created.
I love the excitement, the mix of action, grit and some very hot, k!nky scenes that raise the temperature.
This couple is a really intriguing combination of dark & light, rough & tender and strong & vulnerable.
I adore them, their high octane romance and their journey to get their unconventional happily ever after.
This is such an enjoyable book, characters and series. I can’t wait for the next book!

Spark and Iris's romance is like a modern day Romeo and Juliet but SO much better but more intense, powerful, meaningful and electrifying! The relationship between these two was so well written I swear I could feel their need for each other both physically and emotionally. I loved how sizzling their romance was and watching the depth of connection grow. I also love that there are many other elements that happen and affect these characters that give so much more to the storyline line and make you love this Iron Outlaws MC family. Scarlet Cole really knows how to tell their stories and I can't wait for the next one.

What a book!

The story of Iris and Spark was just 🔥, it had me so emotional a lot of the time as they fought to be together.

I just love this series so much and the MC vibe, it’s got me hooked, why can’t the whole series be available immediately so I can binge read it all at once ?.

The 🌶️ was crazily good, it had me hit under the collar (or In my case dressing gown 😅) more than once.

The shock twist at the end has me counting down the days until the next in the series.

WHEW this book had me on edge waiting for the release. This is the second book in the Iron Outlaws series and when I tell you I ATE this up! This has everything I love to read in an MC book (and I am very picky about those) but it came with the perfect amount of boy obsessed, dominant, stalker (but in a fun way), age gap, all the heat, forbidden with Romeo/Juliet vibes. The first chapter had me sucked in and I was hook, line and sinker from there. I highly suggest giving this series a try!

Holy plot twist! I did not see that coming and now I want to see more and, yeah! Can’t say much, except I loved this book and the grit of the motorcycle club world.

Just absolutely loved this book. Spark was so protective of Iris. So sweet and yet so tough. He just fell so hard for Iris. The book was spicy hot and the dominant scene was fire!

The epilogue was so adorable and I loved every bit of it. Also, I'm so glad Iris told Spark the truth and there wasn't a huge fight if he had found out on his own. There was just sweetness between the two. He's a big teddy bear for her!

And that ending with the truth about Saint??!!! Wow! Can't wait for his book in a couple of months.

💙 I'd set fire to the whole fucking world for you, Iris, and you from the flames."

sooo good

Great read. I waited for this to come out and devoured it. I kinda hate when I do that. Just as good as the first book and the next looks even better.

I loved this book from start to finish. It hooked me in, then Spark and Iris wouldn't let me go.

It's been a few weeks since I finished and Spark is still under my skin in the very best way. He's just the sort of man I love to read, with that little something extra than the rest. Dominant in all the right ways, protective of everyone he loves and a little bit broken with all he's been through. Yes he's dangerous, but I'd feel safer with him on my side. I adored him, he absolutely has a piece of my heart.

Iris too was fabulous, born into an Irish crime family, she desperately wants to escape the clutches of her Uncle Cillian, the head of the family. He's manipulative (but very intriguing) and uses her family against her to get to Spark and the club. She was feisty though and although afraid, she couldn't help falling for Spark. I loved how they learnt to trust each other when the going got very tough.

There was suspense, blood, danger, unexpected emotion and steam. These are bad guys but with their own rules and morals. They are brothers, a loyal, bonded family. After that shocking reveal at the end though, I need more!

Fantastic 5 addictive stars

This book blew my mind. Hands down my favourite read of the year. Nothing will shake it from top spot. Spark is EVERYTHING!!

Big call I know, but when you read it, you will understand why I made this call. Spark and Iris’s story was unputdownable. 5 stars is not a sufficient rating, I wish I could give it more.

I loved everything about this book from Spark and his overprotective streak to Iris standing up for those she loves. It was all I wanted and so much more.

Toss in some of the best characters you will read, twists and turns, red hot sex, fun times, a bunch of scene stealers in the form of the kids Iris teachers and one hell of a plot twist and you have a book that already has me unleashing my inner Spark and stalking the author because I need more now!!

4.25 stars-- THE GAMES WE PLAY is the second instalment in S. Cole’s contemporary, adult IRON OUTLAWS MC dark, erotic, MC romance series focusing on the men and women of the Iron Outlaws MC. This is thirty-five year old, former US Marine and Iron Outlaws Sargent at Arms Tyler ‘Spark’ Hyatt, and twenty-seven year old kindergarten teacher Iris O’Connor’s story line. THE GAME WE PLAY can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story line is revealed where necessary. Some of the events of THE GAME WE PLAY cross over with, and run parallel to the events of book one THE SINS WE HIDE.

NOTE: Due to the nature of the story line premise, there may be triggers for more sensitive readers.

Told from dual first person perspectives (Spark and Iris) THE GAMES WE PLAY follows in the aftermath of the murder of Arthur ‘Camelot’ Hill, the president of the Iron Outlaws MC. Iris O’Connor is the only witness to the hit and run that took the life of Arthur Hill, and Spark and Clutch have been sent to get as much information from our heroine as possible but a drive-by shooting comes close to ending Iris’ life, forcing Spark to become guardian and protector of a woman connected to the powerful Irish Crime Family. In the face of his attraction to Iris, and her affiliation with the Irish mob, the new club president Uther ‘King’ Hills declares Iris off limits but Spark wants to claim Iris for himself. All does not go according to plan when Sparks’ relationship with Iris begins to cause trouble for everyone involved but none more so than Iris when she is forced to do something that could end her relationship and possibly her life. What ensues is the building but forbidden relationship between Iris and Spark, and the fall-out as Iris and several women are targeted by a human trafficking ring, and the Irish Mob may be indirectly involved.

Iris O’Connor wants nothing to do with her Irish Crime family but having lost her parents at an early age, Iris and her brothers were raised by her uncle, an uncle who’s in charge of everything and everyone. Refusing to act upon her uncle’s demands, Iris quickly discovers that breaking from the family is forbidden, and live are threatened should she walk away. Tyler’ Spark’ Hyatt is a US vet having served with the Marines in a disastrous mission. Suffering with ongoing PTSD, Spark finds his heart and his home with our story line heroine but no amount of love can keep the demons at bay. When Iris is targeted, Spark struggles with the possibility of losing the woman he loves, a woman who carries his heart and his soul but betrayal lines the periphery of his relationship with Iris, and forgiveness may be what the doctor has ordered.

The relationship between Iris and Spark is one of immediate attraction but Iris knows that to get involved with the local MC is tantamount to betrayal within the Irish Mob. Spark has been warned against getting involved with our story line heroine could mean expulsion from the MC he loves. The $ex scenes are intimate, passionate and aggressive.

There is a large ensemble cast of colorful and energetic secondary and supporting characters including several members of the Iron Outlaws MC: Clutch and Gwen (The Sins We Hide 1), including club president Uther ‘King’ Hill, treasurer Niro, IT specialist Vex, Track and Tessa, Halo, Switch, club priest Saint; Iris’s brothers Michael and Thomas, and their uncle, Irish mobster Cillian O Ceallaigh, The requisite evil has many faces. Saint’s story is next.

THE GAMES WE PLAY is a story of power and control, betrayal and retribution, family and relationships, authority and command, acceptance and love. The fast paced premise is riveting, dramatic and gripping; the romance is provocative and intense; the characters are determined, desperate and dynamic.
