Beautiful, interesting and easy quilts using contemporary and re-printed fabrics in unique combinations.
This book didn't wow me but it does have some good, basic quilts that might be good beginning quilts for the newbie quilter. Many of the patterns were too busy for me in terms of fabric and I like more complex piecing and shapes. I did love the idea of the baby quilt including the baby's name, birthday and weight. Very cute!
Judging by the cover, I thought the quilts would be really interesting. Well, maybe I meant interesting and beautiful. The design of the book is fairly ugly, and so are many of the quilts. I was surprised to find a quilt included by Amy Karol, and that is indeed an interesting and beautiful one.
Okay, I think I need to own this quilt book. There are so many techniques that I want to try in here - modern quilting made simple for people like me. I think I'll put it on my Christmas list.
