The world believed the white slave trade was a relic of the past, but Rand Slick knew better. And he had very personal reasons for wanting to infiltrate the dark business. But not even a man of his wealth and power could enter the slave bazaar without help—the help of a very special woman.
Being auctioned off as a millionaire's plaything was the most dangerous assignment of private detective Rachel Tinsdale's career. But perhaps her shadowy client was the true danger. Night after night, she ached to share his secrets—and show him the joys to be found in the arms of a woman who was no man's slave.
Olivia began her career as a novelist with Bantam Books in 1989 and published 17 titles under her real name and also the pen name Mallory Rush at Harlequin. Her books regularly appeared on mass market romance bestseller lists and credits include the Romantic Times Career Achievement Award. After an extended stint as a columnist for NINK, the official newsletter of the international author’s organization Novelists, Inc., she accepted the position of Editor and served on the Board of Directors.
As co-author of Zig-Zagging: Loving Madly, Losing Badly, How Ziggy Saved My Life with Ziggy cartoonist Tom Wilson (HCI Books), Olivia found a real love for memoir collaboration, which remains an area of special interest. In 2009 she was tapped to assist HCI Books Editorial Director Michele Matrisciani in developing the first Reality-Based Romance series, True Vows, launched in 2010.
The book is quite interesting but the transition from one part to another is often not detailed. It just jumps from one part to the other making you question whether you omitted a part you were supposed to have read before. But in all, its enjoyable. "I received this book from eBook discovery. I voluntarily review this book. This is my honest review".
Oh my. I loved everything from the story to the characters, and all the sensual romance in between. Rand/Joshua is one of those bad boys with a soft caramel center and Rachel is a strong willed woman who can match him.
Read this when first published and still one of my favorite authors in the short Harlequin series books. Sooooo Good! Tiffany White was my 2nd favorite!
