The illustrations are better than the text.

An adorable story about a kiss on the cheek.
Starting from his doll question, a child explains what a kiss is like.
There are various kinds of kisses that he knows. First, his mother's kiss is very soft like a cotton ball. Then there is also a kiss like a cactus thorn that makes him ticklish. Don't forget a kiss that sounds! The kisser seems to be eating a trumpet. And many more... Is there a kiss that can be seen? Of course!
Being kissed on the cheek is very pleasant, making the child feel very loved.
This book illustrations are really cute. All the faces of the characters are drawn round and wide. Totally full of cheeks. Their eyes are small, noses are round like chocolate candy, plus big smiles. Heart shapes appear on every page in various types of objects.

A young child is asked by her teddy bear what is a kiss. She proceeds to explain that some kisses are delicious (a friend who eats chocolate and always forgets to wipe his mouth), some are prickly (daddy's beard), some are wet (her dog), etc. The illustrations are far better than the text in this book! It might be appropriate for baby story time (or toddler in a pinch), but definitely not preschoolers.

When I see the book's title at first, I was shocked, I thought it is not appropriate for the children. But the book's content is warm and lovely. It expresses the kiss with family members, differentiate by each member. Using the book to education is good way to teach students about the love of family and the expression. I become sensitive and calm after reading this book.

Cute book about kisses and it makes you smile! It presents different kind of kisses, from a grandmother to a dog. The story teaches that with kisses you show love to your loved ones.

Fuzzy and sweet, all about kisses. Trying to capture what a kiss is, such an abstract concept/thing. Great endeavor! Gorgeous double page spreads depicting different kinds of kisses (by Grandma, Grandpa, even chocolate kisses by baby...and Rex, their dog!) Baby is trying to describe kisses to his/her teddy bear. Absolutely heart-warming!

This is an adorable book about the variety of kisses that this little girl receives from the people that love her the most. My favorite kiss come from her brother since they are chocolate kisses (he has chocolate on his face in the illustration). Cute and cuddly a perfect bedtime story.

This is a cute story about kisses, but I didn't like it. The narrative fell flat, and the dialogue didn't flow well. But I have to admit the illustrations are very adorable.

PB15: This was a warm and cozy book that could definitely be read as a bed time story. The illustrations went very well with the text to complete the story.

My MIL gave this to Inara a few years ago, but my two older kids always request it when they need extra snuggles. Very simple/stilted language, but it might be the French-to-English translation?

This was adorable and made my heart warm and fuzzy. The illustrations were super cute and I liked how it described what a kiss is and what types of kisses there are. I also enjoyed how the last page says "A kiss for____".
