. Voor jonge kinderen.
. Herkenbare opbouw, in vele kinderboeken terug te vinden.
. Mooi kleurrijk prentenboek van Leo Timmers. Prachtige illustraties.
. Weinig tekst (in tekstballonnen).

Grade: Kindergarten-1
Genre: Modern Fantasy
My initial reaction to this book was that it was just okay. Throughout the book animals fight over who is the true king. Even though this book was not my favorite I can see students who enjoy reading about animals liking this book. I will probably not include this book in my classroom library. Overall, I felt the cover was misleading and the content was boring.

Pre K- K
A super simple story readable by most children. The premise and lesson are simple, the pictures keep it relatively entertaining and engaging.

With some prompting, I think this book has many possibilities to be the inspiration for a lot of discussion in the classroom.
