The rating for this book might be a little high, but I felt this was a spy/intelligence story that did not insult my intelligence. I'm not saying I didn't have to suspend my belief a couple of times. For the most part the codebreakers depend on their brains and non-physical skills to track down the ruthless man who kidnapped one of their number. While they go off the grid we find out some of the story goes back 20 years.

It's decent enough, I liked the characters and the story, but the codebreaking itself was a little too handwaved for my liking. I tend to like these books because they end up teaching me things, and I hoped there was more to be learned here.

Really good read if you're into espionage/action books. Good match to my recent enjoyment of AMC's Rubicon.

Good twist on an old story. Nicely tied together.
