If you need ten year old definitions and maps, this is hands-down the best manual around. This book is a lot like Urban Dictionary, but more boring and less swearing! Between the standard fare of dictionary definitions and thesaurus synonyms, it has maps of various world bits in full color. IN FULL COLOR! How awesome is that? No partial color, grayscale, or (gasp) lineart only for these maps, no sir.

Long story short: definition business in the front, synonym party in the back.

didn't read the entire dictionary but had a great time jotting down vocabulary words and definition to adjust my grammar a bit,still using this every chance I get. I bought it this year a couple months back.

Search Please

I bought this to have a dictionary downloaded since I am often without an internet connection. The search feature is so lousy it's basically unusable. Paging through until you get to a word is no picnic. I suppose this would be worth buying if you just want to read a dictionary.
