Now she takes us to a little town in Idaho where old flames reignite....
Isabelle Rondeau has always been good at running away from her problems. This time she's running to Callister, Idaho, a place she once called home. She's determined to start over as a horse trainer and make up for lost time with her daughter. And no more men, especially cowboys. That is, until she calls the local sheriff, a man she hasn't seen since she left town some eighteen years ago...
John Thomas Bradshaw, Jr., a rodeo star turned sheriff, has his own troubles. Among them, his wife left him, taking their two sons with her. But when his high school crush comes back into town with a spark in her eyes to match her unruly fiery hair, he jumps at the chance to get to know her all over again. Soon this welcome distraction reveals more than just a shared love for horses. An all-consuming passion that neither can deny is developing, but can two wounded hearts learn to love again?

I have discovered a great author in Anna Jeffrey! This was the first book of hers I have read and it was great! I am racing out to find more of her books!
For me, this is a 9 out 10 star book....the only thing missing for me was a little more of an ending. I would have liked to see an epilogue. I want to know how their blended family was working, whether the horses did foal, and that her business became successful. I wanted to see all of the little subplots better concluded.
Even without this, however, this was a fantastic book - actually, a great series!
The Love Of A Lawman by Anna Jeffrey if the first book in this series that I've read. Looking forward to reading the first two books. Step in sheriff John Bradshaw Jr. had a hard time when the girl he loves, Isabelle Rondeau, had to arrest her brother for shooting a Forest Ranger. Did Isabelle's brother do it or did someone else. A good read. There could have been more at the end of the story. Seeing how the two families ended up and how the horses are doing.
This one is as good as For The Love of a Cowboy. I've ordered For Love of a Stranger but it isn't here yet and I can hardly wait to read it. If you like Catherine Anderson and LaVyrle Spensor you'll love Anna Jeffrey
Really like this author! This is the third installment in the Callister series. What I like about the books is that they stand on their own. You can read in any order and don't have to read in any order or at all. Liked John and Isabelle but my favorite is still The Love of A Stranger!!!
