SPOILERS!!!!!

Read a brief epilogue and loved the MCs first meeting which is why I downloaded. I am not into tropes with ex dramas and MCs previously married/loved others but for some reason based on the early scene with heroine rescuing Hero from his Father-in-Law, I thought the marriage he had with OW was a business-type arrangement/fake which I would have been okay with but it turned out that was not the case.

Hero had been married to OW (a beautiful actress) for many years. He said that he had been in love with OW and she brought excitement to his life but she was also very needy and he was okay with being her doormat until she started to cheat with OM and he had enough. Not enough BTW to kick her ass immediately out the door because he continued to sleep with her until one day he had enough. But before divorcing her, she made him sign a 2 year contract in which he could not be seen with any other woman in public. Meaning that he could have sex with anyone he wanted as long it was in secret and not anyone finding out that would embarrass her, otherwise she would get his company.

Now that was the stupidest thing I ever read but I okay. So he signs the contract because he needed a break from relationships/women and for 2 years he has been celibate until he meets heroine.
They go from "hello" to sleeping with each other the next day and falling in love. Whatever.

So throughout the story, heroine is his secret and they are trying to sneak around without being seen and he talks on and on about the OW how he doesn't love her anymore but yet gives in to her whims all the time. He gave her the marital house, alimony and more money every time she asked. And the worst part is that when the OW tells the press that she is pregnant with his baby (which it isn't), he does nothing and the heroine then tries to get info on the OW with the help of her new friends to oust her which begs to ask why didn't HE do something to stop the OW?

This whole thing read as a mess. I didn't like the plot, hated the characters and didn't see any chemistry, Hero is the wimpiest/non alpha Hero I ever read, heroine is annoying, OW was stupid & his friends who I think had their own story was over the top and annoying too. The only character I semi liked was Ruby as she was a hoot at times, otherwise this was not anything to rave about and I have no idea why I didn't DNF right away.

Secrets Will Always Come Out
Zach is not supposed to be in a relationship for another three months, due to the divorce contract with his wife – no: ex-wife. But then he meets Lilya and he can’t keep his eyes and hands away from her. Fortunately she is just as enamored with him as he is with her. But the consequences of their secret relationship are dire.
It’s my first book by this author and in this series, but wow! Couldn’t put it down, sat grinning in my reading chair which made my husband wonder, in short I enjoyed this book tremendously. A group of wonderful friends and their partners and some people in their surroundings who are not so nice. And love triumphs everything in the end.
Highly recommended!

Brilliant book 📖 ❤️❤️💗

Well Scarlett has done it again, my cheeks hurt from all of the smiling I've done from reading this book.
Roxie, Jane and Lilya together in a caper are hilarious and you just know that something is going to happen don't you.
Zach is also a new hottie to add to the list, but he's got a vengeful ex in the wing's that needs taking care of.
And you have to trust Scarlett to write a perfect book, which she has. As always her books never disappoint me. This one kept me gripped and turning the pages into the small hours of the night, laughing out loud at the antics that the ladies were getting up too. This series is definitely must read 📚 Because of the entertainment factor and the sexual chemistry between the couples. I'd definitely recommend this book/series ❤️❤️❤️

Lilya and Zach - she’s checking the audit of his company as they prepare to take over another company. When they meet, he’s completely naked in the office and she comes to his rescue. They’re attracted to one another, but he’s restricted from dating anyone publicly for a year after his divorce is finalized, and there’s still several months left. She quickly gets caught up in the world of Roxie and Jane because he’s like a brother to Zairn and Knox. His ex is full of shenanigans, including claiming that he’s the father of her unborn baby—even though they haven’t slept together for two years. And there’s still several Lilya learns that she’s pregnant. In the end, they get their HEA and get the ex out of their lives for good.

This was such a cute book. I couldn't have predicted a lot of what was happening like some love stories! well written. Highly recommend!

This one threw me for a loop - loved then ughed and back and forth. Wished the drama was just more in places, but I loved the new developments of the previously introduced characters. Will keep going on…just sad the audiobooks are ending since that was how I want to finish the series out. Will likely take a break before reading the rest.

So he’s just going to let everyone (including the unborn child) think that’s he’s a deadbeat that only acknowledges his child with his wife even when he knows who the actual father is (all we get is a pseudonym “baker”)? That’s a choice… 🥴
