Definitely not a fan.

The book starts the first page mentioning a secret.

We are teaching our daughter that we don’t keep secrets. The fact that using the potty is a secret for a princess is also just ridiculous.

It’s way too over the top and while the crown & the sticker jewels are a cute idea, I can see that going poorly.

This probably would be better if my nieces had not already used the crown and the stickers were not dried up. However on a literary note, those children who love princesses might be inspired to use the potty after reading this book. My daughter is not one to be impressed by such individuals and slept through her interactions with female royalty at Disney. (I am enjoying her superhero phase at the moment...and will look into whether they have any potty-training books for monsters since she might relate better.) With that said, there are colorful, cheerful illustrations (in mostly pink tones) so it is fun to look at.

What a cute book for little ones!!! Definitely have our daughter the encouragement to go potty because the book comes with a tiara and stickers. Ever time she goes, she gets to put a sticker on her tiara.

Absolutely LOVE! After struggling to potty train my toddler for months, she finally was potty trained after reading this book. She still asks me to read it to her. A MUST HAVE!

I babysat a 2 1/2 year old who introduced me to this book. It's a riot. You see, princesses don't use the potty like normal little girls. They have a special toilet throne that's decorated in glitter. And all the woodland creatures help her get cleaned up when she's done. The book even comes with stickers and a paper crown so your daughter can be a princess when she uses the potty too. Yeaa this book promotes some way old-school gender roles. But that being said, I know I would have loved this when I was 2 and 3. Because I realllly wanted to be a princess. And I also had a really hard time potty-training... so maybe this would have made it easier on my mom? Idk, I do remember really like my potty-training book Once Upon A Potty. And the mom I babysat for said that her daughter really only wanted the stickers. She didn't care about using the potty. So whatever book you use, you kid might just have to learn at his/her own pace. But that being said, this book is super entertaining for adults, and the stickers are great. So if you're okay with your daughter wanting to be a princess, Princess Potty = recommended.

(Also in 2 years, I really want to some how find how if Kate buys this for Princess Charlotte...)

A hilarious potty training book! The princess rides her royal pony to the royal potty, and woodland creatures hand her toilet paper and help her wash her hands! Yet it still goes through the process step by step, and she's using the actual toilet and not something that looks like a chamber pot, the way so many potty training books do. (Seriously: are there a lot of parents teaching their kids to go in a painted jug?!) Comes with stickers and a punch out crown you can use as a reward system, too!

We're in potty training mode here and the other night we stopped at B & N and I took a look at all their potty training books. I didn't care for most of them. This one made me laugh and it has been a good motivation for my daughter. I especially loved the, "Hear Ye Hear Ye I have to pee pee," and "You Hoo You Hoo I have to poo poo."

Very cute rhymes. Which really helped my little girl get into the habit of going on the potty. It hits the targets of 'silly rhymes and sayings' that make going on the potty fun for your little princess. She likes to grab it up even when it's not time to go because she knows she'll get a good laugh out of it. :) Very pretty pictures for them to look at too.

I think this really helped my daughter get interested in potty training. Or at least once the timing clicked she wanted to go more often. The book comes with a paper crown and stickers to put on the crown for when she went potty.

One of the better potty training story books, at least for the reader. There are some pretty funny lines.

The free stickers in the back were the saving grace of this book
