I’m thinking I’m going to need to have a talk with some of you regarding your ratings, because this was not a good read.
Jokes, obviously everyone has their own opinion/books they love but I personally don’t get this one at all.
The H was a bit of a coward, who actually wanted a wife for the weekend. I know MC life is different but this just didn’t sit right with me. To be honest didn’t feel very romantic, for a romance book.
There was a bit of a betrayal at the end and lots of bringing in characters from other series - but that didn’t really add anything for me.
Bit disappointing really, but glad everyone else seemed to enjoy it more than me!

Umm
I had to make sure it was written by Hayley Faiman, not her usual gritty book, but a bit too soft for me. The heroine was portrayed as almost pure, too soft and clean, for me she was thick as shit, I mean Google ! If I didn't know about MC life I would simply Google that shite straight away. The best bit of angst for me was just told to us, we didn't get to connect that to the character I had started to like. In all for me personally it was disappointing, just needed more MC depth, grit and a heroine who could use Google.

A little slow but worth it
Brick is the VP of the Devil's Hellions MC. Henli is an event planner. They meet literally after he almost runs her over.
At first there's A lot of back and forth and I thought Henli was a bit weak. Eventually she comes into herself. Towards the end the book picked up and there was a huge betrayal.
Good start, hope the next one has more action and drama in it.

Really enjoyed Henli & Brick’s story! Henli was almost the perfect heroine. I loved how when she found out the truth about everything Brick was keeping f/her she up & skipped state. I only wished she would’ve made him grovel for forgiveness a little more when he got out of jail! I really liked Brick, but I didn’t like his lying & keeping Henli in the dark. And I especially didn’t like that he almost claimed another woman as his old lady & was going to sleep w/her too. If he hadn’t been arrested he never would’ve told Henli about any of it. As much as he claimed to have been in love w/her and as strong as his feelings were, having her as his citizen wife & another woman as his old lady doesn’t convince me that his feelings were THAT strong at the time. So I definitely think he owed Henli a lot of groveling, but I did end the book convinced he truly loved her. And the 4 months after getting out of jail & being on probation he was faithful. He never cheated while he was waiting to end probation & be able to leave the state and go get Henli!

OMG… I am a Hayley Faiman fan but she upped her game with this book. It has all the elements I love. A dark, suspenseful, and sexy MC world that has truth telling elements that make everything feel extremely believable.
Brick and Henli have a story that keeps me on the edge of my seat. The fact that this telling happens over a couple of years has me routing for them even more. I love their journey as individuals and how it makes them a strong powerhouse duo.
This author gives an up close view of the MC lifestyle from those who are living it especially in comparison to middle class America. This is definitely not your momma’s old school love story. Incarceration, club-life, betrayal, danger, violence, and some HOT SEXY TIME all have a place here. Of course plan for an awesome tease for the next book in this series. Ms Faiman continues to excell at leaving you wanting more. Eek.

Sooo good! I was scared for a while that Legacy wouldn’t redeem the things he thought in his head and the actions he planned to do but he totally did in the end. The one thing I hated about Legacy was the fact that he kept doubting Henli. Yeah I got it, he wanted to keep her sweet and innocent but she was tough and I felt from the beginning that she could tough it out with and for him. Henli was great. She honestly was always down on her luck but she was really tough and powered through and never really gave up. Man, the twist made me disappointed! Not to the author, but because I was looking forward to things and that twist makes it to where I won’t get those things in the future, so I was sad but I never saw it coming so the author did her job! This was a strong start to this series and I can’t wait for more.5 stars #2OCCJD

I love Hayley's work,but this was not my favorite. It drove me nuts how indecisive Brick was about her place in his life.It made him appear weak willed and wishy washy! The worst part,that he would have made the ow his old lady had he not been jailed! Moreover,would have felt free if not compelled to bang her...even if he didn't truly want too....because, WISHY WASHY!😆😂

I love Hayley's other MC series set in Texas, so i was ready to read this.
This was a unique MC story that had twists out of nowhere.

This is the first book in a new series about the Devils Hellions MC. This is Legacy and Henli’s story told in dual POV. It is an amazing start to this series.
Legacy is just that, a legacy in the club, his father was President of the MC. The club is in his blood, he lives and breathes for the brotherhood. After an almost disastrous accident with a beautiful brunette, he’s having difficulty deciding what to do with his desire for her and his life in the club.
Henli has a great life. She has a job she loves and a house she adores. She never thought that a normal morning heading to her office would change the entire course of her life.
Legacy doesn’t want to taint Henli with his club life but we all know what good intentions can do, they can backfire. But through it all , unknown by Henli, Legacy does everything in his power to keep her safe.
I was on the edge of my seat wondering how they could possibly make their relationship work. What a rollercoaster!
This book isn’t kittens and rainbows. It’s twisty and angsty and steamy. It had me feeling all the emotions, and that’s how you know you’ve just read an amazing story.

so i started this book really intrigued by the whole, citizen wife concept. esp bc i wanted to see how Legacy would handle the situation with possibly being forced to have an old lady and citizen wife.
so i had to rate this so low bc he was going to go through with making Quinn his old lady, sleep with her, and still keep Henli as his citizen wife. and the only reason it didn’t happen was bc he got arrested 🙃 and after he was released he didn’t even grovel and Henli just took him back 🤪 i am ALL about the grovel and Henli should have made him work for it more.
also did she never question just seeing him on weekends??? and if they were talking about a future (before he was arrested) was she just not going to ask him about how she would only see him on weekends?
i also hated the way he acted at dinner with her family. i understand that he’s never been in a relationship and they literally just met each other. but he seriously should have been able to understand on some level he was going to need to support her during the dinner. that was literally why he was there.

This author does a consistently good job at making me want to throttle the H. This book is no different, with the “citizen wife” back and forth.
It’s just completely unrealistic to believe this 25 year old girl, who’s making posts on TikTok, can’t search Legacy’s club for info on it or any MC for that matter, to get a basic idea of club life/terminology. She’s blissfully clueless and doesn’t even care he was planning on living a double life with another chick as his old lady. This sums up the heroine’s thinking - “Closing my eyes, I accept him—all of him. I take exactly what he gives of himself, and I count myself… lucky. I’m still a lost puppy in this brand-new world that he’s brought me into, but I am filled with wondrous excitement because this man makes me feel safe.” Really?!! You were nearly killed because of him and his club and his lack of fucks given because you had no protection from their enemies -because he didn’t want to make you his old lady! And that’s fine with you? Now I want to throttle the h as well!

Unfortunately the book didn’t have much depth. The plot felt very surface level, it didn’t have any real information. Something would happen, I would read looking for actual detail, background, but it was just skimmed over and felt rushed.
Henli was just too forgiving. We know full well legacy would’ve married Quinn if he hadn’t been betrayed. Henli feelings and Legacy’s decisions were just swept under the carpet. The book lacks depth of emotions and any real thought to resolutions.
There were a few discrepancies. At one point Legacy was calling her but she wasn’t answering the phone, then next minute she was complaining that he hadn’t called her….then she said she’d been texting him and he hadn’t answered, whereas moments before she hadn’t answered his calls…..there were a few back and forth moments that just didn’t make sense.

I have read a lot of MC romances they are my go to reads love them, but this one was a hard one for me. I loved Henli but Brick/Legacy I didn’t. He was not even giving Henli a chance to see if she could handle being in his world. I thought he was very selfish. He kept everything from her then he decided she wasn’t o’l lady material and only good enough to be a citizen wife, which I had never heard of before. He wanted his cake and eat it to. I would have like to have known more about why Warden did what he did. I gave this book 4 stars cause it was a little slow but I did get better at the end.

The first book in the newest MC series from Hayley Faiman is here and if the rest of the series is as phenomenal as this story, then fans are going to be ecstatic! Legacy and Henli couldn’t be more different but something about them just fits, and it’s more than just the seriously HOT passion between them. Plenty of twists and turns, the introduction of some new characters we are sure to see more of, and a wide array of emotions makes this start to the Devil’s Hellions MC series one readers do not want to miss!

Meh
I read through the whole book as the concept of having a civilian wife completely separate from MC club life was something I hadn't come across in previous MC books, however..... I found the book so boring. No points in the book made me laugh, cry or wonder what could happen next.
Each situation was brushed through with barely any emotion attached, the situation was just stated and that was that. The female lead was a doormat and the male lead was just meh 😑
So safe to say not very impressed and not in any rush to read any more from this author unfortunately.

Holy Bombshells!!!
Wowww, what an amazing start to a new series!!! I say bombshells, plural, because there is not just one, but at least 4!!! It has been a really long time that a book was so good that I actually felt anxious for the next words, but this one did it. I knew it was going to be good because it always is with this Author, but just wow...sooooo good!! I cannot wait for more of this series!!

From the way that Brick “Legacy” and Henli meet to the end you are drawn in and captivated. Hayley Faiman knows how to capture her audiences attention and make them not want to put the book down. You really get the full experience of seeing them grow as people and a couple with the way the book plays out over a couple of years time frame, instead of it all being quick. A must read.

I love an MC romance, and this doesnt disappoint. When Legacy meets Henli, he knows she's the one for him. But he needs to sort his priorities out. He's making all her decisions because he knows she doesnt understand his world. He tries to keep her outside of the brotherhood but has unwittingly brought her in the centre of it. Then, when he's put away for two years, she's left alone and vulnerable. Its all down to love

A great start to this new series. This book is a bit different than her books usually are. This book spans over a longer period of time, but is still really good. Great characters and plot along with action and plenty of twists and turns. Looking forward to more of this series.

This book felt a lot like going back to the authors roots. I loved the story line and all the twists and turns that this couple has to go through. Not going to lie, I wanted to throttle Henli, but in the end she made the right decisions. If you are looking for your next favorite MC this is the one you want!

Push over
The leading girl was such a pushover I just couldn't get behind it. She gets a little bit of a backbone towards the middle but not enough. Her man planned to cheat and just because he got arrested he ended up not doing it. She just lets it go doesn't make him earn her back. Definitely won't continue in this series.

Ok
It was and ok book,nothing really special. I read it quickly, skimming though parts of the book.I think part of the reason I didn't really like this book was, she was the love of his life and on and on then he loves her and will marry her but take someone else as an old lady, really what a jerk.It does have a happy ever after but it isn't really worth your time. Legacy falls in love with Henli but she's not from his world so he doesn't consider her old lady material. He decides to make her his "citizen wife" (first time I read about this concept), while he gets embroiled in a situation where he's supposed to take a woman from a rival club as his old lady, to solidify their partnership.

Hanli and Lagacy are are a great romantic couple. They both knew that their relationship was lasting. I enjoyed reading about the other characters in the MC club.

So the book wasn’t bad per se. It just rally annoyed me that the h was so utterly clueless, and she liked it that way. She went out of her way not to ask questions and enjoyed staying in the dark.I guess it was good that she was consistent.
