I always knew my father was a cold, heartless bastard. But the moment he took Elle Castlemaine and her pathetic daughter into our home, barely a month after our mom died, he unleashed something savage inside me. I didn’t care they lost their home. Didn’t care their father was behind bars. Didn’t care he betrayed the notorious Stidda Mafia boss, Benjamin Rossi, and now their lives were in danger. All I cared about was her. Ryth. I wanted to hurt her. Wanted to make her squirm. I wanted to make her pay for the moans coming from my father’s bedroom. When he slipped a ring onto her mother’s finger, Ryth became mine. Mine to bully. Mine to break. And I’ll use my brothers to do it. She’ll become our favorite obsession. Our sick, tormented game. She’ll become the only thing I think about, until not thinking about her tears me apart. I’ll hate her. I’ll hate her so much it hurts…

⚠️I’ve already wasted enough time reading this so I’ll keep it short.

Plot is all over the place. None of the characters make sense or know what they want.
FMC is a student and her father is in prison for some reason, mom ran off found a new man known in the family and decides to get married out of no where. Not much story there. Or anywhere really, besides the spicy scenes.

Anyways, the father has three sons. They all are still getting over the death of their mother and they want to take out their anger on the new girl in the house but they also all want to sleep with her.
They can’t decide if they hate or love her.

The book is literally all over the place, the characters were lackluster at best.
Absolutely wasted my time with this book.
If I could give 0 stars I would.

But read it for yourself, apparently a lot of people like this book. It missed the mark for me though.

Thank you bookstagram, once again, for wasting my time... I read this because I wanted to know what's the hype about. Yes, I was aware what kind of book this was when I started reading, but I expected at least some plot between all the smut. But nothing. Literally this whole book was just hardcore porn with all possible red flag clichés. Character development? Ewww what's that brother?

Of course, the ending was a cliffhanger... My guess is all the plot happens in the next book, but I might not be interested enough to pick it up.

Ok, I went in blind and had zero clue this book was going to be so taboo 😂. It’s 3 brothers 1 girl so a RH which I love but they end up becoming her step-brothers so if that’s not your thing I wouldn’t read this. I like taboo and as long as they aren’t blood related I can deal but when they referred to her continuously as their “little sister” I did want to gag. Was that needed? I think there was enough shock value lol

The book starts with Ryth’s house burning down with very little explanation as to why but you do know for some reason the FBI raided their house and her dad was in jail. Then her mom suddenly shows up at this man Creeds house who Ryth has never seen before under the pretenses that they will stay there until they get everything figured out. The only thing her mom says is she knew Creed back in the day. Um ok? Personally I’d ask for more details but they leave it at that. Her mom claims that Creed is going to help get her dad out of jail. Ok, I went with it seeing where it goes. But within a week she’s divorcing Ryths dad and going to marry Creed in a rushed ceremony. Ummm odd.

Ryth is 18 years old and has 6 months left of her senior year so she has no choice but to go along with whatever her mom decides. She frequently mentions the strawberry colored birthmark on her cheek and her insecurities around it. She’s been made fun of a lot because of it etc. so she frequently makes herself small and invisible.

Tobias is an angry 19 year old but couldn’t tell you what he looked like besides Ryth saying he was really attractive. His features are never described at all. He is still grieving his mom, hates his dad for cheating on her while she was dying of cancer and not being there for her throughout her treatments, and for other things that are alluded to but vaguely so I have zero clue what’s going on there. Tobias carries a heavy burden from being her care taker and being there at the end when she died. So when Ryth and her mom move in out of nowhere a month after his mom died, he targets Ryth and decided he’s going to make her life a living hell. But you start to see that he also wants her. So the dynamic is complicated from the start. Why go after her when it’s his dad he’s mad at why not go after Ryth’s mother to directly hurt his dad? His instant hatred for Ryth is really misplaced IMO.

Caleb is the oldest brother who is pretty much a mystery. You also have no clue what he looks like and are not told his age. Which made no sense to me. He enters towards the end of the book when they all started to have sex with her.

Nick is the middle brother who again looks aren’t described and we have zero clue how old he is. He seems like the more sensitive one though but he has his dark side that’s easily provoked by Tobias. He opens up to her about his mom and tells her about his relationship with her. So she instantly feels more comfortable with him than the others.

So Ryth is a virgin and in one scene she literally starts touching herself in Nicks car waiting for him to get back with their lunch.
You’re telling me a meek shy chick starts fantasizing about Nick and Tobias and begins to touch the 🐱 in public? The fuck that’s so out of left field. She also is so compliant listening to everything they tell her to do and then all of a sudden towards the end she flips a switch and takes control with no lead up she just completely changed her personality?

The guys definitely don’t take no for an answer but deep down she wants what they’re asking her to do but also feels shame, knows it’s wrong and lightly battles with it but basically says fuck it. So I’m on the fence about that. ALSO, she loses her virginity to Tobias then Nick immediately has sex with her minutes after while Caleb enjoys her mouth. Like is that really believable? I mean it’s hot but she was set up to be this really inexperienced girl she wore hello kitty underwear for God sakes.

The mafia is also referenced making it seem like the character Lazarus is the head of it but it’s never really explained. You’re also left wondering where the guys fit into that life.

The book ends on a cliff hanger but I won’t give details.

Am I going to continue reading? Ya, I want to see how it ends. But there’s definitely some holes in the story, some cheesy writing, and at parts that are confusing. The foundation of the story is set up very poorly.

I wanna start by saying I knew this was a mafia dark romance.. but not when I was hit with the reverse-harem my jaw DROPPED. This book had the perfect amount of “forbidden” spice that I didn’t know I needed in my life. In addition to the spice, the story line for the characters is TOP notch. 10/10 wish I could reread this for the first time again 😮‍💨 To top it off: the special editon hardcovers are to DIE for!

Nuovo libro, nuova serie, nuova avventura.

Another one I really wanted to love but as the story went on, it just got more and more ridiculous.

I'll start with the pros of this book:
- Solid amount of spice. For those complaining about that, bsff with yourself. Do your research on the book and realize that if there are multiple mmc's, there's going to be a lot of spice.
- I liked the initial character development and how it started with the boys not liking her/becoming obsessed with her. The boys personalities felt very consistent and any developments they've made, made sense (for the most part)

And now the cons...
- 19 year old girls should not be fmc's in mafia romances. period.
I have to agree with the masses on the exhaustion behind naive young characters. A lot of the storyline ends up being miscommunication and the child putting themselves in stupid situations several different times throughout the story (even after being told by older characters, not to do so).
- I felt like there was a lot of unnecessary filler scenes that contributed nothing to the overall storyline.
- Yes, I am aware that they are step siblings. I dont need to be reminded every chapter about how wrong it is. Its a forbidden romance and that was made clear in the beginning.
- There were several situations that could have easily been avoided making future situations feel very forced. (i.e Nicole going through Nicks phone, sees the video, Nick notices that she saw the video....does nothing about it. OF COURSE shes going to send it to herself and distribute it??? Go after her, destroy the phone and threaten her. done. don't create a whole mess of a situation that had a very obvious solution)
- While character development was noted as a pro, there were certain aspects of character personalities that felt rushed (Ruth becoming more dominant/demanding, Creed becoming crazed, Elle switching up from being nice mom to calculated mafia wife).

Unsolicited personal recommendations that would have made the storyline better
- Putting more focus on "those videos" that Ryth use to watch that contributed to her being ok with the forbidden romance.
- Adding more of an internal moral battle in the beginning and finally giving into the forbidden romance OR explaining a bit more background on what made her so readily ok with something so taboo.

I’m not even sure I know where to begin with this one…
I almost dnf this one but I pushed through.

I’ve struggled to give this a star rating because I’ve been torn between rating it 2 or 3. I think I’ve only settled on 3 for the exciting cliffhanger at the end. I think that was the best part of the book.

This was all brother porn which made me feel sick and barely any decent plot and it was all over the place, I got confused so many times, it was like I skipped a couple of pages. One second they were in bed then they were eating downstairs then they were somewhere else and it was really confusing, I had to read back to make sure I hadn’t blanked out and missed anything.

I was more interested in wanting to know the deal with Creed, he gave me real dodgy vibes from the start and the end of the book started to pick up and actually was a decent plot!

It’s left me angry because I feel like I need to know what’s happened to Ryth and her dad now but I’m also not sure I want to read book 2 incase it’s as bad as this one was. It’s such a shame because if it focused more on the plot and less on the damn porn show that was every other chapter or three it would have had some real good potential!

There was also quite a few annoying spelling mistakes too.

I’m really so confused after this one…

This story centers around Elle Castlemaine (Ryth), & her mother, who suddenly become homeless after their house was destroyed by fire.
That same night her mother called Creed Banks, long time friend of hers, and they’re now both living with him and his three adult sons.

Creed Banks just lost his wife a month prior from an illness and his three sons are still grieving the loss of their mother and are not happy with him moving in a strange woman and her 18 year old daughter and now suddenly they are getting married.
Caleb, Tobias and Nick Banks are Creed’s sons and they have made Ryth their new obsession, their toy and this kicks off a very taboo relationship between the three of them and Ryth.

This is book 1 of 9, a continuation story (not a standalone) & this book ends on a major cliffhanger, but all of the books are written and available.

I admit this book kicks off in high gear, but I slowed down reading it and found myself needing to read an entire book in between finishing this. Perhaps from some of the bad decisions being made by the characters, not sure 🤔

This was a good read! Not great but still good. The story is about Ryth, her father gets sent to prison and their family home gets burnt down in the same night and her mum and herself are left to pick up the pieces. Ryths mum knows someone from her college days that can take them in. They move in with Creed and his 3 sons…. And ‘things’ unfold from here 👀

⚠️ spoilers ahead
I just can’t get passed the whole step sibling thing 🤢 they aren’t blood related which had me still reading 🤣 but their parents marry and through most scenes while doing the 🍆 💦 they kept calling her little sister 🤮 it was such a turn off!
The storyline was pretty good but not amazing, not sure if I’ll read the rest of the series as it hasn’t hooked me. It does end on a cliffhanger so if you read it prepare for that.

The sex scenes were good there was lots of tension and the brothers sounded hot as, I see why people enjoy the book for the smut but everytime they said little sister I wanted to puke

I liked this book, it's good. I think it deserves 4 stars. The spice rating is a 5. I will most likely continue with the series at some point, but I am not so hooked that I will immediately dive right in.

Ryth is young, naïve, emotional, and sometimes she really does feel like a high school student (she's 18 though).
The Banks brothers - Nick, Tobias, and Caleb are three hot, broody young men that live with their dad after their mom dies from her cancer. While mourning the loss of their mom, their dad's "old friend from college" (Elle and Ryth) shows up needing help. The boys aren't happy about it but are sexually interested in their new virgin step-sister.
It's quite a taboo ride.

Tropes-
Forced proximity
Bully
Step-sibling
enemy-to-lover

After seeing this all over my feeds I decided to delve head first into Mine by AK Rose I will say I knew nothing about this going into it and so I didn’t know what to expect but hot d*mn was this steamy for Ryth ( Little Mouse, Step sister, Princess.) Ryth has her world torn apart and uprooted one fiery night. Ending up in a house with Tobias who hated her but wanted to use her body for his escape. Little did I know the lies, betrayal and secrets were just beginning as she began to come alive. This leaves you on a horrible cliff hanger but oh so worth it. I thought the plot vs hot and steamy brothers was perfect. If you're looking for a taboo, reverse harem, age gap then look no further.

Physical - step-sibling relationships with bully complexes. Though I don’t get a lot of the HS feel and more of just a sheltered girl finally not alone feel. Was close to dnf-ing this one but the parents got weird and I was more into figuring out her Dads situation than the romance relationships.
Knew the mom was in on something nasty when she was screwing the ‘lawyer’ and was further confirmed when he’d come back bloody and freak out on Rhy.

4.5✨

Thiss was a very good taboo dark romance 🖤
I really enjoyed it and can’t wait to read more of the series 😍😱

The FMC was so good written, that from the start you’re sucked right in 🥰

Loveeeddd the MMC’s and of course the reversed harem/ why choose trope that makes a smutty book better in my opinion 🤤🫣

Favourite quotes:

“ You’re mine, little mouse…and I’m the goddamn viper. “ ~ Tobias😏

“ I shifted my focus to her closed eyes. She'd been made for me. Even if she didn’t know it…she would. I’d never felt this way about someone, had never wanted to feel it. “ ~ Tobias 🤤

“ First it was Tobias… Then it was Nick. Now it was Caleb.” ~ Ryth 🫣😏

Ok, the book started a little shallow and weird and for a second I thought it was going to be a 'stepbrother' trope but thank God it happened to change the course of it because otherwise it would be weird as hell. I really enjoyed it, it was fun and entertaining and got me hooked as soon as her mom started to get weird. I can't wait to keep reading the rest of the books because now I wanna know what happens. It's totally worth it, specially when everything gets weird and the plot twist is there, you can see it coming but you actually don't know anything 😂 good book!

I have the special edition which is 476 pages & I have NEVER read a book in one day due to being a slow asf reader! A book this size would usually take a week or 2!
I bought the audiobooks of the first 2 trilogys in the blood ties series so I could listen as I read and i polished this off in less than 12 hours!!
That's insane for me. I ate this up! It was intriguing, interesting, easy to follow, SEXY!! My God the spice! Taboo, yes. The brothers are hot asf. The mum annoys me. The order?! What?? The cliff hanger this book finished on????
I'll be picking up book 2 right now!

I LOVED this book!! The men are just top freaking tier and I love having not one but THREE possessive Kings! It has kept me guessing about everything and who is being deceitful behind the scenes and I can't wait to uncover the mystery of what happened with their parents, and what the heck is going on with the order! Downloaded book two immediately and can NOT wait to start it!! The spice was amazing and I love how protective they are of their girl! Amazing book!

I knew it wasn’t my trope. It’s an easy read, I’ve never flown through a book in under a week before, story wasn’t too bad. If you enjoying reading a book from the perspective of an 18 year old, who’s naive, curious and is easily coerced in to things, this book is for you. It’s just anger, sex and more anger. It’s dark romance, if you’re looking for sweetness, gentleness and love, put this down, this is not for you. Overall, I want to know how the story ends, so I’m on to book two.

Gosh, i wanted to love this book. I really liked all the guys, and the spicy scenes were great, but the first 3 books were just too drawn out. They honestly should've been condensed into one or maybe two books. I can't give this more than 1 star. I honestly skimmed the books after the first 60% because i was somewhat invested and curious, but I just can't justify continuing to read the series when it's taking so damn long to get to the point

It was captivating, I honestly couldn’t put the book down and wanting to know more about these characters. The spice was perfect (honestly, made me blush a few times lol)

The book was good written. I just hate it when the entire book is building to something "what happened to her dad?" And you have to read the next book to find out.

I loved the banter between her and her stepbrothers. They take care of eachother in every way possible.

Curious about the next book :)

I read this in-between reading a few arcs.
I am definitely a dark romance lover. I couldn't wait to pick the book up after having put it down. I loved the characters and I am glad I have the first three in the series so I can make a start on the second book right away. The ending has left me craving more. I will need to buy book 4-6 ASAP so that I can eat this series up!
Highly recommend.

Major dnf - Was a random free dark romance audiobook that was a little disturbing at the start from Tobias’ pov but had plot potential. Tried to see it through but the entire book turned into the three brothers just wanting to fuck their step sister in front of each other. - “little mouse” “perfect white panties” 1. Ew that’s your sister 2. Absolutely no character development

This was captivating! It was easy to fall into and watch how the relationships and story unfolded! The darker side of family ties and finding independence and sexual identity!

I really want to love this story. I'm so confused with how the author laid the story. It jumps from one to the next without a clue. The only thing I'm positive about is Ryth and the guys, which is really filthy

Fantastic! This is book 7 in the Blood Ties series. All the books are interconnected, so you need to start with book 1. This book is deliciously dark. It's a fast read and leaves you salivating for the next one. I definitely recommend this book and the whole series!
