Beautiful Elven prince, Dragons, and a bit of mischief… all centered around the winter solstice?!?! This was a fun, quick read! I only wish it was a little longer, and there was a bit more Edras. 😉

ak mulford never disappoints.

Her free Christmas Novella was no exception.

Short and sweet, but this fantasy story was filled with action, steam and a great plot line.

Honestly she's my hero.

I am still working on my list of holiday reads, so when A.K. dropped this on Christmas Eve, I knew it was getting bumped to the top of my list. This snippet has whet my appetite for this author's specific brand of fantasy romance. In a short few pages, this novella painted a lovely world and an interesting set of characters. There was even a little bit of spice to keep me wanting more as I read. All of these gives me great excitement towards the longer series, as I am eager to see what A.K. can do with more time to build the story. I think that more pages will give her time to develop the stories she is trying to tell. This was very enjoyable, but it felt a little too quick, even for a novella. There wasn't quite enough time to build the type of tension I usually seek in what I read. So I cannot wait to properly dig into this author's full length work and find even more enjoyable romantasy!

We join Juna as she is sent by her not so nice guardians to get the scales from a fallen dragon.

On her journey, she encounters Edras, a fae who is also on the same quest.

They then accompany each other towards their destination, encountering troubles along the way... and growing closer with each one

Such a great wee story, I would have have liked to spend more time with them.

Oh also, there's a Solstice Chocolate Cake at the end so if anyone had made this, let me know as it sounds delicious!

Such a beautiful novella! I love the worlds AK creates and this one is no less loved! I would love to see this story/world expanded if she got the chance! I don’t often read stories with dragons but this DEFINITELY makes me want to find a dragon/shifter romance IMMEDIATELY! Even if the MMC was an elf not dragon 😉

Every one of these novellas gets me so excited for the next installment in the story because I know they always subtly tie in.

I'm also always impressed by the ability to make so much happen over 80-90 pages. Truly delightful.

If a very short novella can make me shed a few tears (albeit there is an HEA), then it is an instant 5 stars for me. This is my first read of AK Mulford but hopefully it wont be the last!
