The world ended. But the final battle has just begun…
The world has grown even more dangerous for the survivors of the EMP strikes that crippled the United States. Ronny is a prisoner of AILS, a terrorist group planning to remake the world to suit their twisted vision. He’ll do whatever it takes to stop them, even if it costs him his life.
Ruth and the others remain on the offshore drilling platform. But AILS has set their sights on the facility, and are coming to take it by force. If their plan succeeds, there will be nowhere left to hide. Fleeing for their lives, the survivors must somehow mount a counter strike, before the terrorist cabal grows even more powerful.
The platform that has been their refuge must be destroyed. But demolishing a drilling rig is no simple task. And as AILS forces close in, a deadly storm looms on the horizon. Surrounded by danger, the survivors must make a final stand to stop these deadly fanatics once and for all.
The fate of humanity—and their own survival—hang in the balance.
Grace Hamilton is the prepper pen-name for a bad-ass, survivalist momma-bear of four kids, and wife to a wonderful husband. After being stuck in a mountain cabin for six days following a flash flood, she decided she never wanted to feel so powerless or have to send her kids to bed hungry again. Now she lives the prepper lifestyle and knows that if SHTF or TEOTWAWKI happens, she’ll be ready to help protect and provide for her family.
Combine this survivalist mentality with a vivid imagination (as well as a slightly unhealthy day dreaming habit) and you get a prepper fiction author. Grace spends her days thinking about the worst possible survival situations that a person could be thrown into, then throwing her characters into these nightmares while trying to figure out "What SHOULD you do in this situation?"
It’s her wish that through her characters, you will get to experience what life will be like and essentially learn from their mistakes and experiences.
This is book three of the EMP Sabotage series and the survivors on the oil rig platform, the Mako, know that the terrorist group, AILS (AI-Led Society), want the Mako as their base of operations for some reason or other. They have survived one attack on the rig, but it had left their numbers severely deplete, with only Ruth, her granddaughter Stella, John and his son Curtis, and only Kay and Ignacio left from the original crew who stayed behind after they managed to get one lifeboat off the rig. They have seen the mainland burning and the effects of the EMP’s the terrorists have launched, and after Ruth’s dangerous trek to her oddball brother Ronny’s isolated farm, they have the blueprints of the Mako and a whole load of explosives. Their aim now is to try and rig the oil drilling platform to explode when the terrorists try to take it and hope the island where the liner passengers grounded, is now a more peaceful place and that they may find some allies there. Previously it was run by a tyrant and most lived in fear. After their assistance, the passengers managed to gain control, but another tried to take over and was later seen using one of the small boats and carrying out piracy on the high seas! What Ruth has no way of knowing, is that her brother Ronny is a prisoner of the terrorists and they have tortured him to try and find out some of the secrets of the rig and where any weaknesses may be, before they arrive.
Ruth sets everyone up on destroying what they can on the rig, before they decide where the explosives can go, but Stella has another idea and suggests they ask the cruise liner passengers for assistance. She and Curtis set off on his father’s fishing boat for the island and find a much better welcome this time, although also with words of warning about how safe the island may be, as it seems AILS wants the island as well as the rig and have been sending scouts out already. The islanders have no real way off the island apart from damaged lifeboats, no made for sailing at all. They have to work to fix as many as possible, as AILS’s numbers are growing and they haven’t the weapons to hold off a large force. They need to find a new safe haven, but first some of them agree to help on the rig. Stella and Curtis start back to the Mako, but a huge storm hits and dangers befalls one of them. They aren’t dead yet, but may well wish they were when they find out who has saved them from a watery grave! Ruth and John have the added pressure of trying to find a new safe haven before the terrorists arrive either on the island or the rig. Trying to evacuate a large number of people off the island will be a huge task and require more than one trip, even with all the boats they can fix up. A family reunion of sorts occurs in a bad situation, but once they are together, as they say ‘two heads are better than one’, but escape is not as easy as it is made out to be! The small group are left having to defend the rig and the island from the terrorists, to allow enough time for everyone to be evacuated, with illness running rampant through the islanders and a few bad decisions costing lives.
It may well be a suicide mission to set off the explosives, as AILS manage to overcome some of their forces by sheer numbers and firepower, and gain access to the rig, but a surprise awaits the former Mako group and makes them fight even harder to achieve what they set out to do. If they don’t stop the terrorists now, then they may not have a world to even return to and they have already seen how humanity is reacting to the new situation, without power and basic needs being catered for. Some are resilient, but those with weapons and might, are easily overpowering the weak. A final deadly stand has to be made against these fanatics who want to rebuild the world in their idea of utopia, and who will do unthinkable evil to achieve it. The deadly storm has been both a tragedy and a blessing in ways, but it will only hold back the terrorists for so long. The fate of many hangs in the balance, as a few must risk their own lives for them all. Lots of action in the final episode and even more shocks and surprises along the way than even expected. Twists arrive at the most unexpected occasion and you have to root for those you have come to like and admire, as they face such unsurmountable obstacles in their way at every turn! A cracking ending and I can’t wait to read whatever the author comes up with next. I received an ARC copy of this book from BookSprout and I have freely given my own opinion of the book above.
As soon as I finished reading No Relief, I wanted to read this book but then I had mixed feelings, in one way I couldn’t wait to read more but on the other hand I didn’t want it all to end! Anyway, once this was available to read, I couldn’t resist diving in and reading it for very long.
Its difficult to review this one without giving much away, I can say I don’t think anyone will be disappointed! I will try my best not to give away too much. This book sees the original group split and sort of head their own teams in an attempt to bring down the terrorist group AILS. It does see all the original characters come to the conclusion that they will bring about the end of AILS or they will die trying! In fact in one section of this book we see characters agree to blow the oil rig up even if it means them dying, then just as they are about to do so they see that AILS have some of their loved ones hostage. They then face a difficult decision, stop AILS but kill their loved ones in the process…..or try to mount a rescue and risk perhaps not stopping AILS. Finally it is decided that they will mount a rescue bid but if at any point it seems all is lost and they are about to be captured they will use a detonator to blow the rig up and everyone who is on it at the time, When those on the oil rig re-approach the islanders for help they discover there is an illness affecting some of them and its not long until one of their own group begins to succumb to the mysterious illness. Despite being seriously ill, this character insists on doing all they can to help not only their own small group but to help the islanders too.
There has been plenty of mystery, suspense and action in the previous two books and this, the last in the trilogy doesn’t disappoint either! There’s some real edge of your seat stuff! There is more than one occasion where you think all is lost, for things to suddenly take a turn for the better. I instantly adored some of the characters, Ruth, Stella, John and Curtis. I even immediately loved the awkward and somewhat grumpy Ronny too! I was suspicious of others, Kay, Parker, Jorge and Clark but eventually warmed to Kay by the third book! I have to admit I quite enjoyed disliking Dana and head of AILS Tyra too. I think there was a character within the book for everyone, just like there was something for everyone, be it the technical/tactical side of things being described, the initial mystery of who the sabouteur was, the suspense of how/whether AILS could be defeated or not, or even the comaradery and small glimpses of romance between certain characters.
I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book, in fact I loved the whole series. There was a point near the end of the book where I thought that there may be more to come, perhaps another book but then I saw that it is listed as a “trilogy.” Grace Hamilton always seems to tie up the loose ends, and end her books/series whilst leaving you wanting more. I guess what I am trying to say is she has the knack of always ending her series at what ends up feeling the perfect point.
Summing up, Action packed, adventure filled, edge of seat reading with a little love thrown in too.
No Escape is the third book in the EMP Sabotage series by Grace Hamilton. No Escape kept me on the edge of my seat wondering and waiting for what was going to happen to all the characters next. Once I picked it up I couldn’t stop reading until the last page made an appearance all too quickly I might add.
No Escape is a gripping story that will keep you hanging on every word page after page. The tension is so strong that there will is no way to lay it down once you have begun. The descriptions are all so vivid that I could see the sea as it splashed against the ship during a storm. The descriptions were so well done there was a time when I could almost feel the spray of the mist as the water splashed on board. I felt as if I was watching a movie instead of reading a book.
Tragedy strikes as loved ones are taken away by the storm. Ruth and everyone on board are forced to give up their haven for something more along the shore. Pirates want their ship but they won’t let them have it with a fight. Will they take their ship from them? Will Ruth and crew lose their ship to the sea or man? Can they save their ship? Will there be a fight? All the answers can be found between the pages of No Escape.
If you are dying to find out what happens, then I suggest you grab a copy of No Escape today!
This is still an action packed story with the survivors fighting for their right to live. The AILS continue to torture Mako for information about the Mako. Stella and Curtis are working to save the Islanders to fight AILS. They are all ready to fight the AILS. Then Rush and the other set up explosives so AILS doesn't talk over the oil rig. They fight with everything they have. There is so much action, intrigue, tension, a deadly storm? Who's going to survive and who will survive the terrorists? Read and find out. Awesome story.

No Escape is book three and the action packed conclusion to the EMP Sabotage trilogy. The group of survivors are fighting to stay alive while also fighting the AILS. There's a lot going on in this book and I recommend you read the first two books before this one otherwise you will be lost. From the it could really happen scenarios and the captivating storyline to the believable characters and the epic conclusion this is another great series. If you love post-apocalyptic sci-fi then you will love this book, this series, and this author. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book.
Book 3 of Grace Hamilton’s EMP series was entirely about the final confrontation between the occupants of the Mako oil platform and the terrorists known as AILS. The occupants of the Mako enlisted the aid of the islanders (refugees from a cruise ship crippled by the EMP). A running battle issues and you will have to read the book to see how things turn out. Well researched, great characters, easy to read, all in all a good, easy read
Book 3 in the series, this book is not a standalone since it is a continuation from book 2. It also helps to read books 1 and 2 to get a better insight into the characters. The book goes straight into the action, which maintains fast-paced throughout. There are great character interactions as the story comes to a climax.

Grace did it again! Another great and captivating read involving "end of the world" situations. People taking together to try to survive the enemy, yet still showing human nature- feelings of love, sadness, respect. Working together to take down the enemy, keep themselves safe, leaning on each other in times of sickness and loss, learning new ways to survive. It's all here in another great read by Grace Hamilton!
Ruth, John, Stella and Curtis are back. Now they have to figure out a way to end AILS without ending themselves. Kay and Ignacio are what's left of the crew. So, knowing they need help, they once again enlist the survivors of the cruise ship living on the island. Loss, reunions, explosions and other mayhem abound. This last episode is the best of the entire series.

Hang on - this one is going to be tight. This is the finale of the EMP Sabotage series and it does NOT stand alone. We’ve met the characters before but now they are in the final showdown. A small group against overwhelming odds but still they fight. Fast paced, tense storyline and all loose ends are wrapped up. Well worth the read. If you’ve been anxious to see who makes it and what happens, here it is!
The surviving members of the Mako crew, along with Stella and Curtis, make an effort to booby trap the platform in anticipation of the terrorist pending attack while awaiting the return of Ruth and John. They soon discover just how outnumbered they are and seek help from the survivors on the island who are also at risk. Against such incredible odds, there may be no escape.
this worked so well with the world that Grace Hamilton has written. This was a great third entry in the EMP Sabotage series, it had what I was expecting from other books by Ms. Hamilton. It had a great writing style and I'm glad I read this.

Sorry Grace, just not that believable! I hope that the rest of your writing is on a greater scale. I am not a writer, but I have been a voracious reader most of the 80 years I've been around. Your stuff is just a bit dry and not too well though through. But this is just the case of an old man, engineer, rambling. Good luck in the future.
The group of survivors Ruth, John, Stella and Curtis have to figure out a way to end AILS . Needing help, they once again enlist the survivors of the cruise ship living on the island. There has been plenty of mystery, suspense and action, This is the last book in the trilogy and it doesn’t disappoint.
Always love a dog in a novel! Situation is unique. Characters are well developed and stay in character. Once the plot starts to unfold you will be hooked because the book speeds along. Wish there was one more book to see the characters really triumph!
This is an excellent example of Grace Hamilton's apocalypse books. Well written and exciting with a little romance thrown in. I love to read her books and am always satisfied with the ending.
Wow Superman would.habe been proud. Average people suddenly having able to do things needing special training and having a box of bullets containing over thousands of them and being able to carry all thousands.of.bullets
What would you do!. How would you react to an EMP. I read a lot of end of times and it intrigued me on how people react. Some work harder, others steal from others and then ot by ers go rouge and kill. Deals in many personalities.
Ruth’s motley crew & cruise ship survivors on an island join forces to take down the AILS terrorists. Their small group is woefully under-armed and out-numbered. Can they achieve their goal?
An amazing continuation of this series. Even though Ronny is a prisoner, he’ll do everything he can to stop the terrorists from their plan. With the Narrator’s help you can feel the suspense and anxiety the survivors feel.
no Escape, Grace Hamilton. EMP Sabotage trilogy book 3
Aboard the Mako rig. The crew were fighting to stay in control, another heavy storm hit and they had to abandon. But would be back before the AILS Cult. Or would they. Read the final book.
I did enjoy this part to the series! Excitement & drama though out with high tension running though pretty much all of the book! Good plot progression & a good read!.

"No Escape: EMP Sabotage Book 3" by Grace Hamilton is an electrifying and action-packed post-apocalyptic tale that will keep you glued to the pages till the very end.
