I have a YouTube channel. I have well over 100 videos posted on it, from outtakes to fails to reviews galore. But I have less than 100 subscribers and my views are nothing like I would like to see. I check my analytics and read everything I can on how to build, but so far it hasn't happened. I needed a short, quick read to help guide me a bit more and give me some more insight on what to do and where I am missing the mark. Knowing that George Pain writes short, but informative books, I was hoping there would be enough in this one to help me out. But I also worried that since his works ARE often super short, that it might not have enough information to help me.

The author takes the reader through quite a lot of information about YouTube. He walks you through things like how to set up your channel, what you need to have to make good videos, how to make money using YouTube, optimizing your channel, fan funding, growth, and much more. But each item he talks about is just an overview. He scratches the surface, teaching you the bare minimums about each concept without taking you further in depth and helping you build a solid channel. The information is good, and it shows you where to start, but it needs much more, added detail that can help you build the strongest channel possible.

The writing style is good. He speaks with knowledge of the subject and explains it easily for readers. The book was well written without the mistakes in grammar, spelling, and punctuation that I often see in other books any more. His was relatively free of errors and did not distract me in the least.

This is a very short book, but one with good information that can help people with getting started with YouTube. I think there is value in this book and whoever reads it will find ideas to help them build the channel they want to have. I know I learned a few new things and walked away with more questions that are guiding me in my efforts to grow.
