My biggest mistake is the best thing that ever happened to me.
Noah Chloe Asher is off limits. Maybe if I repeat it enough times I’ll stop giving in every time she shows up in the middle of the night pleading for help. She takes nothing seriously, especially not me, yet I can’t stop thinking about her. It doesn’t matter how I crave her smile or burn for her touch. D is family. He trusted me with his sister. I promised to take care of her, which means I absolutely can’t keep kissing her in dark corners every chance I get.
Chloe My life is a hot mess. Literally, if you’re talking about the small, insignificant fire in my dorm. TU is my opportunity to start over, but I can’t seem to break old habits—especially ones involving Noah Olsen. Elite linebacker, one of my brother’s best friends, and the only guy to turn me down. I don’t give second chances, but when he comes to my rescue again and again, I start to wonder if he’s what I’m missing in my life.
Hard Hitter is the third full-length novel in the Wild Card series of steamy interconnected standalones featuring the football players of Teagan University—a brother’s best friend, grumpy/sunshine, college football romance with plenty of heat.
Nikki Hall is a smart-ass with a Ph.D. and a potty mouth. She writes happy ever after stories with found families, sassy heroines, and strong men who love their women hard. Coffee makes her happy, messes make her stabby, and she’d sell one of her children for a second season of Firefly. You can find all her contemporary sports romance books at www.nikkihallbooks.com.
Having read and enjoyed the previous two parts, I was anticipating for this release. The mcs had caught my interest and I was very excited to follow their journey.
Unfortunately, my expectations weren’t met. Their issues tired me, especially Chloe’s, and the storyline was slightly dragging.
This was my first Nikki Hall book, so I wasn’t sure what to expect. It is the third in the Wild Card series, but it can be read as a standalone.
Noah Olsen is a football player at Teagan University. He’s best friends with Derrick (D) Asher, who’s pretty much football royalty. Why is that important? Well, he also has a crush, and has had one for a long time, on D’s sister Chloe Asher.
Chloe is attending Teagan University after some disastrous events occurred and she needed to change schools. She’s also looking for a fresh start, but with her brother being who he is, she can’t escape the recognition nor the gossip that follows her around.
Noah and Chloe are kind of opposites as he is grumpy and more closed off and she is very social and outgoing. However, Noah isn’t grumpy with Chloe. He’s actually not very grumpy with his teammates either, but he is much more reserved than they are.
They try to keep things platonic between them because Noah thinks Chloe is off-limits due to the promise he made her brother to look after her. As for Chloe, she just doesn’t want any relationship.
Noah and Chloe had amazing chemistry though. I loved how Noah didn’t give in to his feelings for Chloe until she agreed that it wouldn’t just be a friends with benefits thing. And he was respectful of her decision to keep things quiet until she was ready. He was just so sweet and caring for Chloe despite having his own struggles. Oh and I almost forgot his protectiveness, I loved how protective he was.
I didn’t like that Chloe kept denying Noah a relationship, at first. She just kept thinking about her past. However, she always put on a happy face and didn’t take anyone’s sh*t. She stood up for herself and refused to just back down.
I loved how Noah and Chloe both helped each other and were ready to protect each other from their past and their family situations. They were just great together despite being opposites. This was a great story and I look forward to reading the next one.
Brothers best friend, sports, grumpy sunshine?? Sign me UP! I love Chloe and Noah so much. One of my favorite thing about this series is the found family aspect. I love the gang so much, especially Eva. She is just your ideal friend. I am so excited to finally get Macs story next!!
**DNF @ pg160** because, girlies, I *tried*, but this book was *dragging*! 😩 Both of our leads were beyond forgettable—zero tension, zero spark, just nothing to make me care. When I met them, I didn’t even remember them, and honestly, I wasn’t interested in knowing them any further.
This book was such a huge letdown! It honestly felt like its only purpose was to set up the spinoff hockey series, but after this, **I don’t even know if I want to read that**! The way this one finished off just didn’t leave me excited for more.
I had the honors of receiving an ARC copy of this book to leave my honest review so here it goes.
I just LOVE this series. The first 2 book are great as well but Noah and Chloe’s story is just something else. They both have a past and feelings holding them back. Before this book is played out Chloes made a move to hook-up with Noah but he turned her down, even though he has feelings for her because he wants more than a hook-up. Chloe is the littlesister of D from book 1 and he is Noah’s best friend. Chloe is a self-proclaimed fuck-up and a fiercy FMC, who doesn’t give a flying f*** what anybody thinks of her except for her friends and family. And still her past makes her think she breaks everything she does so she doesn’t wanna commit to anything or anyone. But when D is in town and Chloe comes with Noah to the Alumni Dinner as a fake date, help a friend out kinda thing, and so she and spent time with D before he goes home, well.. things happen and sparks are all over the place.
When these two come together. Oh my.. Noah is a cocky, funny, and apparrantly also quite dominating in the sheets, and he is the only place that Chloe lets it all go. But how do they tell the most important person in both of their lives?? Well i won’t say, you will have to grab a copy for yourself, buckle up and hang on for the ride.
This book is a DUAL POV from both Noah and Chloe. Its a brothers best friends, friends to lovers, college football romance. It is a standalone but the series is interconnected so do yourself a favor a just read them all for a better storyline of all the characters. The bunch of friends is crazy and funny and loyal. Like a family. Spicelevel i think is around 🌶️🌶️🌶️.
Noah Olsen and Chloe Asher were so made for each other, even though it took some time to get there! Although opposites in personality, the two of them cared for and supported each other always. Their biggest issue was that Noah wanted a serious relationship, while struggling over how his best buddy “D” (her brother Derrick Asher) would feel about it, and Chloe did not want a relationship at all, preferring to just enjoy some “benefits”. But Noah promised his friend he would take care of Chloe when “D” went off to become football royalty, and he takes that task seriously. Just getting her out of trouble seems like a full-time job! Their attraction sizzles, but he keeps trying to hold back. How long can he manage that? He wants her heart, but she is afraid to give it because of the previous mistakes she has made. Will they realize that they truly were made for each other and should give a real relationship a chance?
Picture me yelling at my Siri in the car while I was listened to this in my four hour car ride to and from an event all because she kept tell me my exit was X amount of miles away. Girl I get it, don’t let me miss my exit but if you interrupt Noah and his dirty talk one more time Imma turn this car right around!
I read this story back in 2023 and we able to listen to an advance copy of the audiobook and let me tell you I missed these characters so much. Noah and his cinnamon roll heart is exactly what wild child Chloe needs to get through her time at TU. Nikki made this classic brothers friend turned lover trope into one of my favorite things to read and now listen to!
My favorite of the series so far! I absolutely adored Noah & Chloe. Chloe is very closed off to relationships after being burned in the past, now choosing to focus on herself & have fun. Noah, her brother’s best friend, has always secretly had a crush on Chloe. He’s the grumpy/broody, quiet type. More reserved than his teammates. These two try really hard to deny their feelings but once they give in…. 😮💨🔥
Tropes: - Sports Romance🏈 - Brother’s Best Friend - Grumpy x Sunshine - Found Family - Boy Obsessed
Hard Hitter was my first Nikki Hall book and while there was quite a bit I struggled to grasp (both timeline and character wise) because I hadn’t read the first two books, it didn’t stop me from enjoying and loving Noah and Chloe’s story! Noah is an absolute gem of a man and the unconditional love and support he shows Chloe is incredible. This was a wonderful slow burn, brothers best friend, friend to lovers romance and I hope we get to see more of these two in a bonus epilogue or future books
I had the honor to receive an ARC of Hard Hitter and here is my honest opinion Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Nikki Hall is one of my favorite authors when it comes to sports romance. I’ve been hooked on this series since Vi and Soren’s story in Rule Breaker and now Chloe and Noah in Hard Hitter.
Hard Hitter is book 3 in the Wild Card series but it could be read as a stand-alone. If you like brother’s best friend and grumpy/sunshine troupes, you’ll be hooked with this book.
Noah and Chloe were so cute and perfect together! I was so glad that Chloe finally realized it and gave him a real chance! God I loved this book and especially loved Chloe - I connected with her character so much and I was so happy she finally felt accepted and loved for being exactly who she is🩷🩷 can’t wait for macs story he deserves it the absolute best 🫶🏻🫶🏻.

I volunteered to read this ARC for an honest review..I enjoyed this story about Chloe and Noah. She is his friend D's little sister, and he promised to keep an eye on her at school. Chloe is trying to start fresh and make a space for herself away from her famous brother. She and Noah always have a spark but they fight it. When the pressure is to much and they give in, their lives will change forever.

Couldn’t get into this one. Took this from another review because they said it well.
“Having read and enjoyed the previous two parts, I was anticipating for this release. The mcs had caught my interest and I was very excited to follow their journey. Unfortunately, my expectations weren't met. Their issues tired me, especially Chloe's, and the storyline was slightly dragging.”
Big fan of the series and this book didn’t disappoint I’ve just finished it so I have to say I’m a little bit sad because of the way things ended with Eva und Mac… I thought they were going to be endgame but I guess not Chloe and Noah seem to be made for each other and I loved how they were protective of each other and supported the other They’re a solid union which you can clearly see when it came to the pregnancy

Tropes: college romance, football romance, sports romance, friends to lovers, forced proximity, roommate romance, brother’s best friend, best friend’s little sister
Review: This. Is. IT. I was waiting for Noah’s book since I began book 1. I have wanted to know how this broody, silent baller is since day 1. In this dual POV romance we see Noah and Chloe fall hard and fast. I think Noah rocketed up to one of my top MMCs after finishing this book and his character was so refreshing that I did not want his story to end.
Chloe is D’s little sister who we read about in the series prequel novella. When she transfers to TU she is immersed in the web of football players that her brother was friends with. Her character is one that is broken from prior relationships and I liked how Nikki wrote her as the one who would break Noah and not the other way around. I found myself drawn into her since her ex and self-beliefs were what made her believe she could never have a relationship.
Noah on the other hand has silently loved Chloe for a long time. His character is one that I do not see often in tropes like this since the player is usually a “player”. I loved how he was the one who wanted more and never wanted to hide Chloe and his relationship. I also loved his alphahole and dominant side. I found myself hoping that he broke down her walls faster than he did but also happy with the way he always built her back up.
This book is intense in spice and heat since both of these characters held in their feelings and attraction for years. The trust that Nikki develops between them is probably the strongest of the three books in this series but also the most tumultuous since Chloe is undeniably herself and tries to push him away. I loved reading how Noah was never afraid to admit his feelings and also fit with Chloe perfectly in every situation but I wish that we had seen more communication between him and her at times.
This book leaves us on a huge cliffhanger at the end about the next book and I cannot wait to see how it plays out with Mac.
I have read all three books in the Wild Card Series and really enjoyed each and every one of them. But, I loved Hard Hitter so much more. Ever since I finished reading Front Runner I have been anxiously awaiting for Noah and Chloe's story. It was worth the wait and their story was everything I had hoped for and more. They are such a sweet couple and Chloe is a ball of fire. The chemistry between them is intense, but had to be tamped down because of loyalty to D - Noah's best friend and Chloe's brother. Once they turn the corner and admit their feelings everything becomes explosive. All of the characters in this book are wonderful. Nikki Hall has done a wonderful job bringing originality to each book with plots that were easy to get wrapped up in ensuring my complete attention. I can't wait to read Mac and Blue's story it will be a great end to this series.
Noah has been attracted to his best friend D's little sister Chloe for quiet some time. But, bro code and the promise to take care of her has basically forced him to put on the breaks. Chloe has been seriously crushing on Noah ever since she met him. Chloe's feelings were hurt and she was left embarrassed after Noah turned down her offer to have fun without a commitment. That is in the past and now Chloe finds herself at TU with Noah and D's friends trying to embrace the new her. The one thing Chloe has always been able to count on from Noah is that he looks out for and treats her like her own person. She is tired of living in her brother's shadow and wants to be know for being just Chloe and not D's little sister. He is successful and she is a failure at everything she does. Noah is tired of hiding his feelings from Chloe and is on a mission to prove that he is serious about her and wants more than a one night stand...he is in it for the long haul. This is a cute story about Noah and Chloe on a journey to finding their own happily ever after.

Starting over and paving your own path is always better with the right chosen family members
Chloe Asher is College Football royalty, through no fault of her own - she's D Asher's little sister. She's transfered to TU in an attempt to get a restart to her life and college career, but her brother's notoriety as TU's star graduate and pro football player is getting in the way. It doesn't help that her interest in Noah Olsen, current member of TU's football team is also held up by D - though he doesn't know HE'S the reason Noah's holding back. Chloe has been making do with depending on Noah to help her get out of all the scrapes she finds herself in, and eventually their mutual attraction/obession takes over.
I had zero issue identifying with Chloe's interest in Noah. He's honest, helpful, and HOT AF. (you like that consonance there?) Chloe is a bit hard on herself, largely because she went through her own emotional abuse at the hands of an ex-boyfriend, so she doesn't think twice about Noah's disinterest. To her mind, her tendency to fall into mishaps is reason enough for him to avoid her. Thankfully, Noah is the perfect guy to bring his "Trouble" out of her protective hidey hole. His family background adds further depth to his motivations for doing the right thing as a character; the fact his parents were out of the picture and he was raised by his snobby uncle adds to his appeal -- my only disappointment is that his uncle didn't get enough of an comeuppance for his bad behavior.
The audiobook was narrated this time by Vivienne Ferarri and Jeremy York. Unlike with the last book, I had zero issue getting into Ms. Ferrari's voice for Chloe. Though I enjoyed the last male narrator, I felt that Jeremy York did a wonderful job on his delivery of Noah. Both voice actors gave excellent, well-spoken deliveries that were an excellent approximation of Chloe and Noah. I have no idea who the narration team will be for the next book in the series, but we can't go wrong with these two!
Hard Hitter by Nikki Hall is Book 3 of her Wild Card series and tells the story of Chloe Asher, little sister of pro football QB Derrick Asher (or D as he is known), whose best friend, Noah Olsen, has been pining-away for Chloe for a long time. Noah promised D he would look after Chloe and make sure their teammates knew she was completely off-limits to them. Chloe wanted to get out from under the shadow of her famous brother, but things didn’t work out as she planned, and she ended up at Teagan University where her brother’s old teammates and friends remained. The chemistry between Chloe and Noah is beyond sizzling since they cannot be near one another without the steam and electricity their proximity creates exploding around them. But D is family to Noah, so he suppresses his physical and emotional needs for Chloe; and Chloe remains frustrated because she wants Noah, hoping for a one-night stand to get him out of her system. Noah rejects anything except for a full relationship with Chloe. Then…something happens…! Ms. Hall knows how to create intense steam, sizzling pages of passionate encounters, as well as drama, craving, and need between her protagonists in Hard Hitter. Noah and Chloe’s story was a joy to read, with plenty of feelings moving me all over the emotional roller coaster of a really good romance novel. Noah’s difficult childhood and loneliness is totally relatable and creates a very deep, multi-layered character whose experiences gave him strength and wisdom well-beyond his years. And Chloe’s insecurity in the face of a brother who achieves every goal he personally and professionally sets his mind to, is realistic and easily relatable. But what touched me most, took my breath away and burrowed its way into my heart was the love and care Noah offered to Chloe. It exemplifies what every person wants and needs in their life. Hard Hitter is an ABSOLUTE MUST READ!!
Nikki Hall is one of my favourites when it comes to sports romance. She knows what her readers like, and she delivers in spades. Chloe runs into trouble more than the average person and now she's transferred to the college her perfect brother went to so she can be around his friends, for support and so they can watch out for her. Noah didn't have a great childhood and considers D and the rest of the team like family, they mean everything to him. All the characters are written so well and you believe that they are a close, tight-knit group of people. Chloe is an extrovert and doesn't do relationships, too much hassle and it's just easier not to have so you can avoid the failing and disappointment. Noah is the opposite. He doesn't do hook-ups and wants someone he can share things with. Everyone can see they have a thing for each other, their chemistry is undeniable. They are a match. While Noah is quiet, Chloe is exuberant. They complement each other. They're easy banter makes you smile and it's easy to see why they're so smitten with each other. Nikki's books are always so well written and I love how we get a chance to see the other characters often throughout the story. Both Noah and Chloe were dealing with their own hang ups but they dealt with them together and they were both fiercely protective of each other. There were a few surprises along the way, but they never wavered in their love and support of each other, nor did their group of friends. Nikki manages to combine a perfect mix of sassy and spice, laughter and angst into her books and it makes them all the more enjoyable. Another one in the end zone for Nikki, well done and thank you

Chloe Asher is off limits, the one girl on campus that he cannot have, but she is the only girl he wants. His best friend and former teammate asked him to do him a solid and keep an eye on her, keep her out of trouble... not realizing that by asking for the favor he is doing is exactly that... putting her in the hands of trouble. Noah is stuck between a rock and hard place, does he honor the rules of his friendship or chase the girl he wants?
The pages of Hard Hitter will captivate, make you blush, and touch your heart! These two had trouble written all over them from the start, Chloe was sent to TU for a new start, and Noah was asked to keep an eye on her... and he did that, maybe just a little too closely. See Noah has a little thing for Chloe, but admitting it would mean that he would have to break friend code and he can't bring himself to do that, his friendship with her older brother means a lot to him. But the closer he watches Chloe and the more she requests his help with things the deeper those feelings become, and the more he wants to get his hands on her. And she is a willing partner in the matter, but she has a few rules of her own, for one she doesn't do relationships, and that is exactly what Noah wants. So they find themselves at a crossroads...
I really enjoyed this one, it had just enough temptation and torture to keep me invested, the steamy moments were uber hot and the blossoming romance between them was sweet and emotional... a perfect escape in my book! Highly recommend!
I requested an advanced copy of this title from the publisher and I am voluntarily leaving my honest and unbiased opinion.
🏈Hooked on the characters, Addicted to the series, and Exceeded my expectations!🔥
From the moment I opened the book I couldn’t put it down! Noah and Chloe were everything I was expecting from this series and so much more! Noah’s quiet social appearance but dominance and protectiveness was… just umm yes! While Chloe being the outgoing, trouble maker but absolutely adorable kind and caring was endearing and honestly just the perfect opposite to Noah. Overall, I’m basically, or at least almost, at a loss for words with how much I enjoyed reading this one.
I enjoyed the different characters and friends that continually appeared throughout this one. Nudging them together and being supportive when necessary… that idea and concept of the created chosen family is such an amazing support, it ultimately supports the entire plot and even makes it better. I also loved how their relationship or I guess situationship grew as their barriers fell between them. It was that slow burn and connection and just how they opened up to each other as friends first that I loved. But through working between and with their own challenges and issues the couples strength showed just how important it is to be friends first!!! <3
I really enjoy that Nikki’s work doesn’t have the 3rd act break-ups and that the couples work through the different situations and grow stronger rather than apart. I loved how caring, kind, and thoughtful Noah is and how he doesn’t take no for an answer.
Loved this one, addicted from the start, and I’m left wanting the next one in the series now! But, I’m going to have to wait till “Play Maker” Mac’s story comes out… 💕
3⭐️ - friends to lovers/best friends brother/sports romance. Noah and Chloe are cute, I love the group that they have found their family in, and I loved pieces of this book, but didn’t love some of it.
Noah has had his eye on Chloe since he met her, but out of respect for his friend, he never made a move. However, when Chloe has to transfer to TU after an incident at her school, Noah can’t seem to stay away. He has turned her down before, with him looking for a relationship and her looking for a hook up, so he manages to maintain friend status, even though there is sexual tension you could cut with a knife.
Chloe is trouble, and she can’t see to stay away from it. She has had a bad experience with relationships, so she decides having really good friends to meet her emotional/mental needs are great, and then random hookups to meet her physical needs. This all comes crashing down when she moves to TU and is around Noah all the time.
They decide to give dating a go, while hiding it from her brother until they are more sure if this is what they want. While this wasn’t my biggest issue, I’m never a fan of hiding this kind of thing from your best friend/brother, in real life they would likely be just fine with you dating if your intentions were good and you weren’t just looking for a hookup. Along with that, there was a pregnancy scare that made me about ready to DNF this book, I’m usually fine with pregnancy troupe, but to throw it in just to add tension, only to have a negative pregnancy test was just annoying.
Overall I liked reading it, I’ll keep going with this world, this installment just wasn’t my favorite.

Nikki Hall has done it again! Hard hitter was everything I expected and more. This book definitely brought on the goosebumps, the steam and heart fluttering! Noah was just so swoony amd passionate.
Noah and Chloe were such a perfect pair, the broody hottie and the gorgeous sunshine. They brought out the best in each other and provided that support they both needed to move past their insecurities and past hurts. My heart broke for both of them for what they had to deal but I was very happy that they helped each other realise that they deserved happiness and love.
The attraction between Noah and Chloe was a slow simmer until it exploded into something very sexy and passionate. Together they were on fire. They always say never trust the quiet one in the bedroom and my oh my our quiet hunky Noah did not disappoint!
I loved how persistent Noah was when he decided he wanted something more from Chloe than a temporary situation. His continual support and protectiveness for her was very attractive.
Chloe was such a bada$$, more than she realised but thanks to Noah she was able to accept who she was, embrace her potential and take risks. How she stood up for Noah every chance she got was fantastic! She provided that support he never had and showed him that he was not alone.
As usual I loved the fun and humor the other characters brought especially Eva and Mac and the plot twists and intrigue throughout. I thought the issues with Noah's family was dealt with a little too quickly but aside from that I really enjoyed this book and I am looking forward to Mac's story.
This felt... incomplete. It felt like their story started a little too abruptly, and there wasn't enough backstory of them in there. It's hard to fully feel their angst if we come in right in the middle of it.
I also don't see why people think she is a mess and act like she sets fires wherever she goes. One accidental fire, and they just dont let it go. She doesn't come across as such a mess that can't handle their shit, but the author keeps telling us she is. It doesn't fit.
Much like with the last book, it feels like some things are left hanging.
We finally meet his dad, but that's it. That's all we get. His uncle shows up, but that's it, no big reveals about why he was an asshole for 15 years, just them thinking he was jealous of his dad. I would have liked a little more there, as well.
This book barely had any overall plot to it. They get together and keep it secret, their immediate friends know, but then big bro finds out too. That's pretty much it. Add in a tiny bit of unresolved drama from his uncle and a loose end with his dad, and there it is. It was just... whelming.
After things with Eva and Mac being teased and hinted at throughout all of the books, to have it end up like that, just before Mac's book, is really annoying. I will read Mac's book, but I honestly don't know how into it I will be. I am very disenfranchised by Eva at this point. She has let me down.

—Brother’s best friend —Grumpy Sunshine —Found family —College football —Mutual pining/Boy obsessed
Um listen I’m obsessed with Noah. He just hits different. Forget all your reformed players and your bad boys because we’re falling for a dude who doesn’t do casual and wants commitment. Eva describes him best, “Noah’s always been the burnt marshmallow of the group. Hard outside, squishy, delicious center. He wants more than banging.” He’s got an epic crush on Chloe that he won’t give in to because he won’t—No can’t do casual with her.
Chloe lives for casual, because if they don’t stick around they can’t say she’s not worth the trouble—she’s heard that before and has the issues to prove it. She’s looking for a fresh start at TU and she’d love to do one thing without floundering, füčking it up, or being in her brother’s shadow. The attraction she feels with Noah is enough to start a fire, but he already turned her down.
Watch these two slowly come apart from the seems until they can’t fight their feelings anymore. It’s inferno level hot and adorable at the same time.
I snagged an ARC of Hard Hitter, but it’ll be out tomorrow 6/23 so go add it to your TBR, preorder it, or if you haven’t read the other books in the series yet drop whatever you’re doing and go download them now!
I loved this book, the characters and the story were just awesome.
This group is so great to read about and whilst you absolutely get enough time with the MC’s, you also get a lot of bonus time with the other series regulars too.
Chloe was trouble with a capital T, just not in a malicious or deliberate way. I loved how her perceptions of herself were so skewed and over the course of the book she came to understand herself - I loved how Eva was so integral to that. The girl is everyone’s best friend.
Noah was so sure and steady. The quiet, gruff one of the group he had been hiding a soft spot for Chloe for a while and in a fab reverse uno card, he wasn’t willing to go there because he only wanted her if he could truly have her, not a hit it and quit it roll in the sack.
I loved how he held out for what he wanted and proved to Chloe that he was hers no matter what.
#boyfriend goals, Noah loved all that was Chloe and never wanted her to change, and she loved and supported all his future goals too
A small amount of angst but no major storyline dramas here, though there could have been some for sure with the guardian vs prison daddy potential, the author focuses on the sweet which delivers a fabulous read
Noah Chloe Asher is off limits. Maybe if I repeat it enough times I’ll stop giving in every time she shows up in the middle of the night pleading for help. She takes nothing seriously, especially not me, yet I can’t stop thinking about her. It doesn’t matter how much I crave her smile or burn for her touch. D is family. He trusted me with his sister. I promised to take care of her, which means I absolutely can’t keep kissing her in dark corners every chance I get.
😊What i liked -
✔ Brother's Best Friend/Grumpy-Sunshine/He Falls First/Sports Romance. ✔ OMG these two are the cutest. The way they keep flirting with each other. (Sit with your AC on, you will need it) ✔ Noah's grump is the hottest and the way he looks after Chloe makes you just melt into a puddle. ✔ The side characters are also the best. Especially Mac and Eve. ✔ But my favourite was Henry. (the cutest) ✔ This book is full of Drama, slow burn, intense to the fullest and the swooniest.
🤔What could have been better -
✔ I wish I could go and sl*p Craig through the kindle.
Hard Hitter, the they’d book in the Wild Card series by Nikki Hall is just another fabulous, must read, delicious sports romance that relievers tons of angst, romance and lots of steam!!!
This is the story of Chloe and Noah and man did it deliver! story. Chloe is Noah’s friends little sister and man was the angst and tension sizzling hard with this one! Because even though Noah had feelings for Chloe, it was a line he knew he could never cross and risk losing his his best friend. Though choose feels differently…until he turns her down, sending her in a downward spiral and everything changes.
Fast forward a bit and Chloe is on a mission to change her image and to set herself on the right path—which doesn’t include Noah. However when she someone most…it’s always Noah that’s there. I absolutely loved everything about this story and can’t wait for the next one in this series! The tension and chemistry between these two was off the charts and I couldn’t get enough of their story.
Overall if you love brother's best friend, grumpy/sunshine, sports college romances with a splash of found family and hidden love then this is the one for you!!!
