Great Start to Series!!

Kye and Eliana both have had a rough time growing up but in the summer of their high school year they meet up and become friends and more. Eliana is now going to Harvard and wants Kye to go with her. The bottom line is Kye doesn’t think he’s good enough for Eliana plus he has joined the Screaming Demons MC.

They meet years later with Eliana coming home for her father’s funeral. She had no idea that her father owed a debt to the Screaming Demons MC which she was now responsible for. Kye was the one sent to get that money from Eliana.

I loved this book which is a great to start to this series. I can’t wait to see what comes next.

I hate leaving bad reviews but this book in my opinion was terrible. The storyline was all over the place. It ended in a cliffhanger and just wasn’t worth it. Will not be reading anymore in the series.

The H/h are best friends that liked each other. When they finally do kiss he gets caught up in a mc, and all his time is spent with them prospecting. Her dad was involved with stolen money/goods from mc. He has a $50,000 debt. When mc comes after him the H helps them get away. It is another 10 years before H/h see each other again. Her Dad dies and the mc wants her to pay off the debt by being their lawyer. She will be killed if she does not comply. The H/h never have sex. I really liked this read. Even though their were time that I thought the h was too hard on her Dad, I liked her.
The cheating involved is a bj.

Kye is tired of everyone always leaving him so he starts to become guarded. He meets Elaine and she is everything he has ever wanted. When she gets accepted to Harvard Kye ends up going on his own path. He promises that he is doing everything so they can be together yet it just seems to make them drift further apart. Now years later Elaine is a big city lawyer and is home to bury her father when she sees Kye again. However its not a happy ending kind of meeting. Her father owed Kye's MC a debt and now they have sent him to get her to collect. the sins of the father now rest of the shoulders of the daughter. Will she forgive Kye for everything that's happened? Can he show her that he just wants to be with her?

This is an amazing story once I started it I couldn't put it down. The chemistry between them is blazing hot. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this book to any book lover.

I read and reviewed this book for Bad Boy Update.

High school best friends and then sweethearts separated by a turn of events that are life and death. For Elisha she’s off to college studying law but forced to keep a low profile. For Kye, he’s the next in line in the Screaming Demons MC, and puts distance between himself and Eliana to keep her safe. Until Eliana’s fathers debt to the club is recalled, and Lye needs to bring her in. It’s been years, but the pull of their hearts is still there.

Sounds good? It is a good premise but this book is all over the place, and very basic in terms of its language. It wasn’t that enjoyable to read and I fluctuated between 2 and 3 stars.

Loved the start to this series! Kye had a tough childhood but meeting Eliana was a highlight. Even loving each other can't stop the different ways their lives are heading. Kye's life takes a different path then Eliana's will they find happiness or will they separate or will their love keep them together. Eliana has worked hard to get into college but she had all these plans for them, now she has to decide if she can make it with out him.

Rough Start by Summer Cooper is a thrilling, suspenseful, exciting story about two young people from a small town who had formed a bond of love and friendship that would change both of them forever. Kye had a hard time growing up being pushed from one foster home to the next until he met Eliana whose friendship meant everything to him. Eliana was a smart young woman who only wanted to get away from her father, become a lawyer, move away and take Kye with her. When Kye was rescued by Max, leader off the Screaming Demons MC the relationship between Kye and Eliana changed as he got more involved into the dark world of the MC doing Max's bidding. The connection and bond between Kye and Eliana was very emotional as these two will get caught up in danger no one would see coming. When it is revealed about who her father was working for and what he did, Kye is racing against time as both Eliana and her father are wanted by Max. Now Kye will do all he can to save the woman he loves and allows both her and her father to escape and start over. Years go by and Eliana is a lawyer and returns to bury her father and is told her father owed Kye's MC a debt and that he was sent to get her to collect on that debt as Max has been keeping tabs on Eliana all along. Now Eliana has no choice but to do Max's bidding getting criminals out of jail if she wants to stay alive. Will she ever forgive Kye or will the love that is still between them put both of them in danger? With all of the twists and turns, this story is full of chaos, intrigue, violence and manipulation as we are left having to wait for the next book to see how all of this plays out.

Exciting story

Eliana Granville met Kye Driscoll the summer before their senior year of high school. They quickly became best friends mainly because they shared having horrible home lives. Eliana's mother had died when she was very young. She was raised by an alcoholic father who made her life a living hell. Kye had been in the foster care system for many years and was bounced from house to house. Since neither of them had close friends their friendship blossomed. Eliana had superior grades and was bound for Harvard. Kye was just barely passing in school and eventually got involved with a motorcycle gang called the Screaming Demons. So her father had been doing illegal things and the motorcycle gang was after both Eliana and her dad. They were run out of town and thought they'd disappeared. Eliana completed her 4 years at Harvard and then law school. She was hired by a prestigious law firm. She had round the clock nurses caring for her dad until he died. Max who leads the Screaming Demons has been keeping track of Eliana and her dad. Kye had been keeping track of Eliana too. They'd been in love but it wasn't meant to be. Now Kye is sent to bring Eliana back to town to pay back her father's debt of $50000. by getting some gang members out of jail with her law degree. Eli is not very cooperative but if she wants to live she'll have to change her tune. Lots of excitement, great characters, and an interesting storyline. Very talented authors who never disappoint.

I LOVE, LOVE love this book.
Young love, unfulfilled between Kye and Eliana. The time just never seemed to be right between the two, plans would be made and then something would come up, it seemed. Both had childhoods from hell, but in the case of Eli, being raised without a mother by an alcoholic father, she was the parent in that relationship. She worked her behind off to get great enough grades to make it into Harvard on full scholarship. Kye was raised in the foster care system, being bounced from home to home, until he was almost aged out, the last home he'd been in had him coming face to face with Eli.
I was reading this book and got so lost inside of it, when I came to the last sentence it shocked me, I truly hope that his is a cliff-hanger, cause I am wanting to, no NEEDING to, know what happens next.
Great writing to both authors, my hat is off to you both. Please keep up the great work.

A great story with plenty of chemistry. The story flows well and the characters are well-developed. Kye and Eliana were high school sweethearts but Eli's father told Kye he wasn't allowed around Eli. They snuck around to see each other. Eli's father was a drunk and she was continuously having to clean up after him. She had been dreaming of going to Harvard, so when she got excepted she was ecstatic. She was making plans for Kye and herself to move there together. Kye had joined an MC and found out Eli's dad owed them a lot of money. On the day that was supposed to be the happiest for Eli and Kye, it turned bad when the MC went gunning for them. Kye had to lure the MC away from Kye and her father so they could get safely away. Four years later, Eli's father passed and she finally saw Kye there but he had come to collect the debt owed to the MC from Eli. Will Eli forgive Kye? Grab this book to find out. I received an ARC and am voluntarily leaving my honest review.

This is a new series and it starts with a bang. Kye and Eliana meet the summer before their senior year and become best friends and turn into more. These two have both had hard family lives. Kye is a foster kid and Eliana is the parent instead of the child. When some bad things happen Eliana needs to leave Kye and all the dreams she had for them. You can tell the connection these two have and that they love each other. The MC club ends up coming between them, even though they try to fight it. Years later Eliana’s father dies and now his debts have become hers, whether she likes it or not. The feelings she thought she was rid of for Kye, is still strong as ever, as is their connection. This was such a well written story that kept me hooked from the beginning. I didn’t even realize it was the end, until the last sentence. The characters are great, even the ones who deserve a knock in the head. I can’t wait to read the next book. This is a great start to a new MC series.

This is book one in the Screaming Demons MC series and it features Kye and Eliana. They started out as having one of those beautiful teenage romances but then it took an unexpected detour. Kye is a foster kid and Eli is being raised by a single father who is an alcoholic. They find friendship and more in each other until Kye finds the one thing he’s craved his whole life. A family. A family in the shape of the Screaming Demons MC. Things changed between them and they went their separate ways. Years later she finds out that she must now take over a debt, owed by her deceased father...to the Screaming Demons MC.

The story line is fantastic! The writing is amazing as well as the characters. Character development is steady and surprising at times. I was hooked from the start and couldn’t put it down until the last page. I can’t wait for the next book!

This was a phenomenally thrilling and dangerous new book from Summer Cooper. Eliana (Eli) fell in love with Kye the summer before senior year of high school until she and her father are run out of town. Kye is a foster child who fell into the Screaming Demons MC. When a territory war was with a rival gang Kye makes the choice to walk away from his true love for her protection. Now ten years later Kye and Eli are reunited in unfortunate circumstances and difficult choices are about to be made. Will Kye and Eli hace their happily ever after or will they be destined to be apart? Rough Start is a captivating must read that will have readers enthralled from beginning to end. Although it ends on a cliffhanger it’s definitely worth reading. I loved this book and can’t wait for the release of the next book.

A difficult up-bringing with choices of which path to follow: have a HEA with the young lady, Eliana, who has stood by Kye's side since they've known each other OR to be pulled into the Demons MC group which "being a good-standing citizen" isn't exactly what this group wants. Both of their lives are intertwined & when the secrets are revealed, everything falls into place & a debt has to be paid, no matter how many years have passed.

The cliff-hanger story was good but I did find the italicized words throughout, were distracting & annoying as I couldn't figure out why it showed up here & there in the chapters. I had to keep refocusing & trying to follow where the story was going. Looking beyond that, I still found it a really good story & I'm looking forward in reading the next book.

I volunteered to read this ARC & leave an honest review.

i read this book as part of an arc program. This is the first book in the Screaming Demons MC series. This book is told in a flashback that sets the storyline for the series. In this book, Eliana returns home for her father's funeral and learns he had debts to the Screaming Demons MC and her childhood friend Kye was sent to collect. The book then goes on to explain how Eliana met Kye and how their friendship developed. They were best friends until they were forced apart until ten years later. Now Eliana has no choice but to go with Kye and it seems like things might have changed between them, but there are still feelings on both sides. I really loved this story. I loved how they fell in love when they were younger and how Kye protected Eliana. I love how Kye wanted to be better for her, but he didn't know how. This is a great start to a great new series.

I am upset that this book didn’t move fast enough and yet sped up all at the same time. I was confused halfway through because I got to see a peek of present day right off the bat and then I was stuck 10 years prior for 90% of the book. I honestly felt like it was hard to find anything quite likable about the main characters. The relationship between Kye and Eliana felt very superficial and that there wasn’t anything that deep connecting them aside from attraction.

I read the kindle version and there were some formatting errors that took me a second to understand, like the texting back and forth. Also, third person is normally fine for me but it kept jumping between them that it just became a jumbled mess.

I did not realize that this wasn’t a one off book. I won’t be continuing the series.

I will let you know up front that this book "ends" when you just start believing that Kye and Eliana may get their HEA and there was no "promise" that there will be another book that continues their story. I can only hope that the next Screaming Demons MC Book will let their story continue and give me the closure I desperately need. Kye and Eliana's story is definitely a rough start beginning with each one's childhood and continues up until they are reunited when Eliana learns she has inherited a debt her father owes to the MC Kye joined. This book will definitely hook you from the first few pages as it is a page turner.

I was given an ARC in exchange for an honest and totally voluntary review.

I received this arc for an honest review and I’m vey happy with the story, great writing as it gives us an insight on how they met and subsequently fell in love. It begins in the present and flashes back till it does a complete circle. Two very different people and yet so much in common as they have both been dealt pretty lousy childhoods. Eli is a strong intelligent female and knows what she wants. Kye is a mixed up kid but yet they work together and have a deep love for one another, until they have to part. Circumstances have them meet again years later and I’m intrigued on how it pans out as it does end on a cliffhanger!! Great characters, intense story. I am grateful for the opportunity to read as an arc. Can’t wait for the next book. Tvm.

This is a good start for a new MC series.
Kye and Eliana met in the summer before their senior year. Both did not have the best childhood. Kye was a foster kid who felt everyone left him. Eliana was being raised by her alcoholic father and had to grow up way to fast. With each other they found a kindred soul. But fate stepped in and the were separated. Kye to the Screaming Demons and Eli on the run.
After several years fate again stepped in and had Kye kidnapping Eli so she could pay her father's debt.
The story ends not necessarily with a cliffhanger but with a what will happen next.
Kye and Eliana are likeable but opposite characters. Their feelings for each other come off the page. But can love overcome their differences?

This book starts in the present with a major bomb dropped on Eliana, and then goes back in time to tell the story of how Eliana and Kye got to this point.
Both Kye and Eliana were so easy to like and I was sympathetic to what they had each gone through. I truly loved both of them. Even though I understand why, it made me cringe when Kye had to accept Max’s gift, especially since Eli was waiting for him the whole time.
This book gave me a sweet sense of nostalgia over first love.
Now I’m feeling desperate to find out what happens next! And what happened with Grier?

This is the story of Kye and Elaine. They wanted to be together but it seems that it was never the right time. She had dreams of going to Harvard to be a lawyer and went. Kye went to be in a MC and it gave him a feeling of family since he didn’t have one. They drifted apart until she came back to town and her drunken father was in trouble as he’d taken money from the MC and they wanted it back. Kye wants to save her but the President of the MC decides that she can repay the debit that was her fathers! How will he keep her safe or will he help her with the debt? What an emotional roller coaster!!! Eliana and Kye go way back, back to high school when they would look out for each other. She thought he was her future, until the night her father made them leave town. Now years later she is a Harvard graduated lawyer trying to put her past behind her. At her father's funeral she feels someone watching her, and she is shocked to find Kye is there. She is feeling everything from anger sadness, lust and rage when he basically kidnaps her back to her home town. She knew her father was some type of criminal, but she had no idea the debt he owed to the Screaming Demons. I love the drama, guilt, secrets and story line...and the ending left me wanting MORE!

What a fantastic story! Kye was raised in foster care and him joining the Demons MC gave him the family he never had. He has been in love with Elaine from the first look and thought he would make a life with her., but life had something else in store. She always dreamed of becoming a lawyer and going to Harvard , when she goes away he is heartbroken. Years later he is obliged to go collect a debt form an estate and it turns out ot be Elaine's father's estate. Key will need protect her from harm before he can make a life with her. It is a riveting story that I honestly volunteered to review the arc.

Rough Start is book one in the series Screaming Demons MC by authors Summer Cooper & Sienna Chance. ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT!! I loved this book- it is entertaining, suspenseful, action packed and heart twisting. Imagine finding exactly what you want and it’s torn from you - by a choice that your other half chose. Nothing is left, until.... sorry I don’t do spoilers. But don’t you absolutely hate that when you desperately want to know. By saying that this one is a cliffhanger- ugh!! Yet there’s a way to solve that read the next in the series Rough Ride. That’s my plan!!
Enjoy!!

Kye grew up in one foster home after another not counting time in juvie. Meanwhile Eliana grew up in the home of a drunken single father that she has parented for years. Kye and Eli couldn't be more different as they fell in love the summer after their junior year of high school: Eli is a straight 'A' student and a community volunteer while Kye's interests definitely don't include school. This story covers the first ten years of their relationship: great dialog, scary happenings, love full of angst, and many years apart but they never forget their love. Lots of tears equal lots of stars. On to the second book.

WOW what an amazing start to a new series. I could not put this book down and read it from beginning to end and when I got to the end I was like what, well guess we have to wait for the next book. I love the MC books, the story is amazing and will have you on the edge of your seat. Eliana and Kye have amazing chemistry, will he be able to protect her from the mess her father has left for her? I love these two together so lets hope so. Another great start to an amazing series.

Rough Start. This book was interesting. I was a little confused at first because of the way the story flowed. It went back in time to help us understand why Eliana was where she was and how Kye was who he became. The characters were believable and captured my attention because of the hurt and trials they go through. This book was intense and dangerous but a very good read. You must read this book! This is a wonderful start to what I think is going to be a wonderful series.
Eliana and Kai were childhood friends when life takes them in different directions, her to Harvard and law, him as prospect for the Screaming Demons MC.
Years go by when Prez decides to settle old scores and Eliana and Kai are thrust together again.

Plenty going on in this excitingly page turning read.
