When the deck is stacked against you, the only way to win is to break the game.
Phac has saved the forest but lost much in the progress. When he finally reaches the city of Salom, he thinks it's time to rest and regroup. But the world does not play fair. Corrupt authorities hide in the shadows. Devils roam the darkness. Danger lurks in every home.
Phac will oppose the enemy for honor and revenge. He will make allies, even friends, and set out to infiltrate one of the city's largest establishments while growing stronger every day. Unfortunately, the enemy is always a step ahead. Personal struggles expand into full-scale battles.
In the end, when all seems lost, victory can only be achieved through the most unexpected, wholesome allies...
Valerios enjoys letters and numbers. One day, combining them crossed his mind, and now he spends most of his time placing one after the other until something pleasant appears.
Besides transforming words into worlds, Valerios also enjoys moving figurines over chess boards, spending quality time with quality people, and stubbornly trying to convince machines that cats are not, in fact, dogs.
What a fun book and it's time for Phac to shine as he arrives with a couple of his adventure buddies planning to just hangout in Salome with friends and to give his condolences to Oreg's family. But one of the first things he noticed was that there were speciesists in Salome and not only only was there discrimination against the other races but if you are an Orc you are basically untouchable. And this book gives Phac his time to shine. He's strong and he's fair and not afraid to speak his mind! Eventually he meets up with a cast of crabs 🦀 it is Phac we're talking about after all. And then the fun really happens! I love this book, and I love Phac too. Get the book to find out what happens. Daniel Wisniewski is a great narrator.
Another fun book where Phac bumbles his way through trial after trial. He meets some new friends, steals some stuff, and even gains a follower. On the way he stumbles on to a plot to slay thousands, and in his typical gung ho fashion he places himself between the evil mastermind and the innocent people. Maybe he even gets the girl. Tom out
This was still a lot of fun, but it lacked the charm of the first book in the series. The shifting POVs took some getting used to and the storyline was too political and not enough leveling up. I did enjoy it and I look forward to reading book 3.
Crab based shenanigans continue. A fun adventure story with Phac the crab man leading the way. If you are in the mood for a light hearted adventure this is a good choice.
A very unconventional MC. He is not polished but not completely off track. He is funny and he has a good heart. This is a very good series. I say definitely give it a go.
Solid sequel. I felt like the story was well contained to this book and most plot points were resolved even though there is going to be a sequel. I hate the MC’s name. I wish he could just remember his real name and go with that. I enjoyed the story enough to dive into the next book.
