A very detailed review of the various conflicts which raged across the globe as the 18th century ended and 19th century began....while the Battle of Waterloo is the most remembered engagement, there were battles taking place in North and South America, the Caribbean, the Middle East and Asia as well as Europe involving all of the great powers of the day. Napoleon's defeat at Waterloo basically brought all of these conflicts to an end.
