Moving into a house with roughly 300 rose bushes was slightly overwhelming and I have consulted this book roughly 50 times in the last year. So far it answered all my questions.

Pro: written in coordination with the American Rose Society, so it includes the ARS's awards and recommendations regarding zones, hardiness, etc.
Con: written in coordination with Ortho, so it goes straight to recommending harsh chemicals for disease and arthropod problems, and even prevention

Good advise on pruning, watering, planting roses. Has good info on rose diseases and pests. However, since it is an Ortho book, the solutions for ridding roses of pests and diseases advise using Ortho chemicals other than organic solutions. Otherwise it is a good reference guide.
