This book is split into 4 main parts and goes over everything you would ever need to know about an Australian Shepherd. It talked about their size, color and ancestors. It also listed steps in order to properly train the dog, take it out in the community and raise one in your home. It was extremely informational and included many photos of actual german shepherds. On some pages there were text boxes that listed more information and in the back of the book there was a resources section that listed places, books and websites to go to for more information. It was clear this was an informational text. The audience would be anyone extremely interested in dogs- Australian Shepherds specifically. It wasn't too factual and could definitely be read by or to children of all ages.
