Maeve Haran is an Oxford Law graduate who worked in journalism and television before writing her first novel, Having It All, a worldwide bestseller translated into 26 languages and shortlisted for
the Romantic Novel of the Year. She wrote twelve more contemporary novels, one work of non-fiction, and two historical novels.

Her new book In the Summertime is due out on June 8.

She has grown-up three children and lives in North London.

С огромно удоволствие си препрочитам някои книги и тази е от тях. Някое колело в главата ми е зациклило и ме кара да се връщам към тези 3-4 книги постоянно.
Нищо , че някои случки са малко пресилени и наивни. Не ме дразни.
Все по-рядко намирам автори на които да дам моето доверие безусловно. Мейв Харън ще си остане една от тях.
Така детайлно е изградила своята история , освен това е направено с чувство за хумор , с чувствителност за важните неща.

Сега докато си припомнях и тази любима книга,осъзнах че имат доста прилики с "Той,тя и другата" (дразни ме този превод на заглавието) на Тес Стимсън.
Но стила на Мейв Харън е по-мек от този на Стимсън и доста оптимистичен, по отношение на осъзнаването на един мъж.
Малко по-наивна ми се видя сега и прекалено разтегната.
Все пак е писана в далечната 93 година.
От позицията на днешния ден, не мога да намеря много място за оптимизъм , за съжаление.

Oy. This looked like such promising chick lit but it took forever to get through! Too long, too trite (even for its genre), not fun. That'll teach me to pick up foreign fiction in used bookstores in Brooklyn.
