Quick easy read, written more like a one-sided conversation. Author provides useful tips although some are only relevant for mail-in applications but the information on writing essays is applicable to mail-in or online submissions. He also shares several "real" essays at the end of the book which are great resources. You will want to have a highlighter and flags handy. Time will tell if his recommendations will help with my soon to be college freshman's scholarship opportunities.

The best part of the book are the examples of real scholarship letters. The rest of the book is common sense information - but then maybe most high-schoolers don't have much common sense yet. It's an easy read and something you can probably convince your child to read
