Ever since she was a little girl, Journee Carter wanted to be a preacher, just like her father. She loved listening to his sermons and seeing how his fiery words filled the members of the congregation with joy. She wanted to bring that kind of happiness to people. I love this story!

If you ever grew up in church, then I'm sure some of the preaching was that women are not supposed to preach. To each her own, But I believe that some women are called to preach, like the main character Journey Carter. Even though she's been practicing since the age of 7 to be a preacher like her father, some people in the church accuse her of not listening to the voice of the Lord, including her father. There are a lot of devious church folks in this story, just like in real life. I enjoyed the story, and I very much enjoyed the ending.

This book was so inspirational, I like the way Journey stay true to herself during her problems with her church members. A true Christian.
