Stas Bekman

Stas Bekman was born in 1974 in Gomel, Belarus and has since lived in many countries. He speaks four languages, English being far from his first, but his favorite at the moment. With a B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering, Stas has worked in the field of computer technology for more than 20 years now. In the first decade of this century he published two books and many articles in multiple magazines on Internet technology called mod_perl. In 2005, Stas received a prestigious White Camel Award for being a tireless advocate for large-scale applications developed in Perl.
Since 2007, Stas has been running his own company, called Stasosphere, exploring various Internet endeavours and always returning back to wanting to write and share his findings with others. He excels at creating an easy to digest synthesis based on analysis of large volumes of raw information. Over the last 20, years he perfected the skill of Internet hunting and gathering and can find pretty much anything that he sets to find. When he can't – he tries harder.
