All high spirited Chelsea Hogan wanted to do was to win the Oklahoma Land Run race on her speedy paint pony, find a pretty spot beside a running river, and homestead her land in peace. She had no time for run-ins with outlaws or the arrogant, gun-toting detective, Mitch Bryant, who offered her a kiss in return for information. What nerve! She was darned if she'd let the handsome lawman know how that first caress made her heart pound! And when he pitched his tent on the land right next to hers, Chelsea tried hard not to notice her rugged neighbor until his second kiss sent her reeling into ecstasy and yearning to feel his strong arms around her not just once, but over and over again!

Reb published her first book in 1989. She is the bestselling author of CALIFORNIA CARESS, PERFECT STRANGERS, MONTANA WILDFIRE ... & a bunch of other historical romance novels.

She lives on the southeast coast of New England in a big house built in 1865—haunted, of course (this is New England, aren't they're ALL haunted?—and only a five minute walk from the ocean, with a husband she loves almost as much as he loves football, fishing & firearms.

Roaming the internet is only one of her obsessions.

DNF at about 50%. It's not worth reading. Too much time is spent on details of Every. Little. Thing. It just kind of dragged on. Plus, the so-called "hero" Creed pretty much forces himself on Hannah the first time. I mean she's a completely innocent, good Christian girl, does he really think she's fully able to handle a sexual relationship outside of marriage??? And guess what, she DOESN'T handle it well at all! I can't stand it when the H does this to the h, it's sickening. I think I've finally learned not to read any books published before 1995; the heroes are way too forceful sexually.
