Interesting collection of poetry from a wide array of styles and backgrounds. My opinion on selected poems are mixed however, what compilation is adored on every page? The crowning jewel of this is the short biography of every poet included. The sonnets were by far my favorite and the authors commentary on how she came to write poetry echoes in my soul.

I liked the experience of reading it, but there wasn't any particular reason these poems belonged together, and I think the editor's taste is very different from mine. I didn't connect to many of them.

Left Seattle for San Juan Island in the middle of a snowstorm and upon arriving realized I'd arrived for two weeks without a book of poetry. Eek! The wonderful Griffin Books in Friday Harbor saved me. I'm so excited to dip into this anthology, with so many names I admire and a few I'm lucky enough to know!
