Bestselling author Peter Lemesurier deciphers Nostradamus's centuries-old verses to predict what the next millennium will bring. He unravels the seer's riddles to unearth events that will affect the lives of people today and the lives of generations to come.
A long, long time ago, Peter used to write on the newsgroups about his view of Nostradamus, and it was pretty unorthodox and somewhat denigrating to the seer himself. The book is a product of this kind of thinking.
This book on Nostradamus and his predictions by Peter Lemesurier is not a fictionary tale. This book is a, compalation or a gathering of all of the great Nostradamus' predictions. i highly recomend this book for anyone that is interested in philosophy of any sort of future predictions. in most parts that he describs, Peter has included translations to help prople understand what he was talking about. i thought that this was a great book simply for the fact that Nostradamus' predictions were, and still are dead acurate. i was commpeled to read further when i read such phrases as, "Both soon and late you shall see changes great. Vast horrors, vengence cruel the signs portend, Whenas the moon upon the hand of fate in highest heaven her angles shall subtend.", such quotes from Nostradamus himself ran chills down my spine. i enjoyed how well he predicted many conflicts and wars of our time and past. i started reading this book simply in the notion that i would be board with such mindless talk, but i was able to get into how well all the predictions were put together, the modern day translations really helped by guiding me through the thick meaphors of Nostradamus. i read this book and i intend on reading it again, however i do say that it is not for everyone. to read this book you have to be willing to use you mind to think outside the box and to put conjectures together by yourself. if you like facyful tales of wizard and such, look elsewhere, this is a meer book of writings from Nostradamus put together with the translations by Peter. be warned this book is heavy reading and requires time to think, read at your own risk, but if you find philosophy and interesting subject then you should definitly pick this up, it is worth your time.
My review on this book is that it was amazing. How he predicted many adversaries and many era's and they all came true.We all wonder how he did this and would love to know, but the book was good ,and many thigs can contradict what he predicted. Like when he predicted the well known napoleon and his dictatorship. Also how he predicted the black plague but in my eyes it was like he knew the future. And I wonder if he knew his own future as well
What i learned about this book was that there was a man who predicted events that had happen and in return as they happened people looked at him as more than a man, but i liked the book. I also still believe that nostradamus was a very intellegient man.Maybe if we all new are own future we would all change who we are.
