Again, looking for info on mindfulness therapies as recommended by our neuro-psychologist. This is a gold mine of info, guided practices, hand-outs, worksheets, etc. The introductions to the principles are concise and readable. While this book may be a textbook/handbook for therapists, it gave me (treatment foster parent) a wealth of information for working with the kids who come to my home. I'm currently using it with kids aged 6-17. The support materials & handouts on the accompanying CD are terrific. The younger kids have no idea it's therapeutic--they think it's fun.

A very helpful manual for teaching mindfulness to children age 9-12. I am strongly inclined to use it with the children in my practice . . . yet challenged by the strong experiential emphasis of this approach. This is quite a stretch for a therapist like me who has relied comfortably on a verbally based cognitive approach for my entire career. But the appeal of teaching children what corresponds so well with what I am learning in my contemplative journey may be too strong to resist!
